SANDY FEET RETREAT - Private Pool, Hot Tub

Beautiful 4 bedroom beach cottage, 2 1/2 bath that includes a private pool, hot tub, outdoor shower, outdoor grill and large yard. The property is a 5 to 7 minute walk or a 2 minute drive to the beach. Easy permit pass parking at the beach access or you can use the community pool, tennis courts, walking trails or bike paths. Furniture updated for 2022.

Cosa c’è nei dintorni?

  • One of the northernmost towns along the coast in North Carolina, Duck is an idyllic town on the shores of the Currituck Sound. This shot was taken from the town's boardwalk while looking West over the sounds. It is advisable to visit the location in Winter as that is off season - so you can spend more time taking in the beauty of the North Carolina coastline and also sunsets are usually much more picturesque around the time owing to the cooler temperatures and lower amount of atmospheric haze. Plenty of things around Duck to see. Further north, there is the Currituck Lighthouse where you can climb the steps to the top of the lighthouse. North of Corolla, there is an area where you can drive along the coast on the sand - 4X4s a must. Here you can spot some Spanish Mustangs, horses out in the wild. If you're lucky, you can spot them running along the beach in the surf. I'd recommend taking a tour through the Corolla Wild Horse Fund - the money from the tours is used to help the wild horses in every which way possible and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Fantastic Home

This home is wonderful. Extremely clean, comfortable and exactly as listed. We loved having our own private pool - the grandkids enjoyed it so much. The pool was also well maintained. We highly recommend this home to everyone!

First OBX Vacation

We loved the home. We have vacationed with VRBO at beaches all over the east coast and this was definitely one of the cleanest homes we’ve stayed at. Such a nice feeling to not have to scrub the place down and just get right to relaxing. The home is we fully equipped with everything you need. They even provided gates to block steps, which are we a huge help considering my grandson is a busy boy. Really appreciated their attention to detail with this. A couple points to consider:Home is a bit back from beach so walking and carrying all your beach gear could prove difficult, especially with little children and having to cross the main road, so driving is almost required.No real public beach access close to the home. Parking at private beach access is limited so get there early (home owners provide passes and this made it very convenient).The pool was awesome! The beach had little to no breeze all week with temps at 99F had us spending a lot of time at the pool. I would not recommend a home with no pool. It was a lifesaver with my 11 mo old grandson.Overall, owners were very communicative and we loved our stay and highly recommend this place!

Lovely beach home in Duck

We had a great time at 107 Jaycrest! It is one of those rare times the house is lovelier than the pictures! It’s a short bike ride to downtown Duck and 7-8 minute walk to the ocean. The house is a modern beach house , well kept , with thoughtful and responsive owners. Highly recommend to anyone!

Wonderful house, great location

We enjoyed our week at Sandy feet. The pool and hot tub were nice amenities to have. The location was great, close to downtown Duck and a short drive to the beach with parking pass included. The host was very responsive and check-inn was super easy. I highly recommend this property and I hope to come back!

Great location for family vacation

Went with adult children and parents, total of 8. Plenty of room. Loved the large table for family dinners and the kitchen was really well stocked. I was worried about the 2 bathrooms for 8 people (plus 1/2 bath) but everyone loved with outdoor shower and so it wasn’t an issue. The backyard is great. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub. It was a little difficult to cross the street and get the beach due to traffic. Our son proposed to his girlfriend on the beach so this place will always be special to all of us. Would stay here again.

Fantastic home that's convenient to the beach and all that Duck has to offer. The hot tub and pool are a plus! The house was immaculate and had everything we needed. Very nice/friendly owner.

Beautiful Home!

I would definitely recommend Sandy Feet Retreat. It was so nice, after a long drive, to be greeted with a welcome basket full of goodies! The starter bag of paper towels and toilet paper was an added bonus. The house was beautifully decorated and very comfortable for the 4 of us. Chris was very responsive with any questions we had. Would gladly stay here again.

Family Vacation

We had a great relaxing week. We had a couple of issues only one was a big deal. The AC went out but owner was on it immediately and it was fixed with a whole new unit. It was a small inconvenience but these things happen. Thanks again, we would rent again.

Beautiful property!

This was our first time staying quite this far North and we enjoyed the new location so close to all the shops in Duck. The house was perfectly sized for our group (6 adults and two kids). We could not get over how beautifully decorated and furnished it was, inside and out, everything was just so nice (and clean!)! Half of our group walked to the beach every day and didn't think the walk was too bad at all. We preferred to drive the kids and had worried that the lot would be full, but we never had any trouble parking at any time during the day. The left turns onto the main road are a little tricky, but we never had to wait more than a few minutes. We didn't make it over to the community pool because the kids were more than happy in the backyard pool and we enjoyed hanging out in the hot tub and on the patio. Our host was very responsive to all of my questions before our arrival and throughout the trip. If we make it back up to Duck we would definitely book this property again!

Loved our stay

This house was perfect for my family. The pool was awesome and enjoyed by all my kids (13, 9, 6 & 2) There are pool toys, beach chairs and an umbrella to use. The welcome basket was also really nice. We never walked to beach with many kids but it was a very short drive. The house was extremely clean and looked just like the pictures. The owners communication was great and not something you find with all beach rentals so I appreciated that. Would love to stay again.

Family Vacation

We had a great stay over 4th of July week. Chris was super responsive whenever we had questions. The house was the perfect size for the 5 of us (3 adults, 2 kids). We really enjoyed using the plunge pool and came in handy when we needed a break from the beach. The house is well stocked with everything you would need, and the gift basket upon arrival was a really nice touch. During our stay, I rented a golf cart which worked very well for our stay and I highly recommend doing. The beach and bay are a short walk in either direction, and so is the town of Duck with a great walking path. Adding the cart made it easy to jump in and run to town, got to the beach, or jump back to the house if the kids needed a break, and otherwise made for an elevated experience. But just the same you could walk without an issue. The house comes with a parking pass so you can park at the lot by the beach access which is really convenient. We never had an issue parking. We didn't take advantage of the community pool or tennis court but both looked very nice. Overall, it is hard to find a smaller house in the Outer Banks for smaller groups if you aren't going with 14 people - this property is just the ticket. Highly recommend.

We loved our stay here. The house was very nicely decorated and well kept. The location was great, with only a short drive to Corolla or Nags Head and a short walk to the beach. My kids really enjoyed the pool! Would highly recommend!

Great Family Home

We really enjoyed out stay at Sandy Feet retreat in Duck. The owners were very communicative to any of our needs, and the house was very clean and well appointed with everything we could have needed. This is our third time staying in Duck, and this location provided us quick access to town as needed. It is a short walk into town if you would like, we did not walk as we have 4 small children. The backyard is private, and perfect for kids! It is fenced in, and a great size for any backyard activities with the greenspace, patio, pool, outdoor shower, and hot tub. The bedrooms were of good size, and the two rooms with sliders have alarms on them if young kids try to sneak out of the room to get to the pool. The pool also has a locking key on it, so multiple safeguards which gave us peace of mind. It is a short walk to a beautiful sound view. My only complaint is with the turn out of the neighborhood to the beach access, which we knew we were on the sound side when we booked. The turn left out of the neighborhood if very challenging with all of the traffic, and we would wait several minutes until a kind soul would stop to let us out. That would not deter me from staying here again as it was more of an annoyance than anything. Overall we had a great stay at Sandy Feet Retreat and would definitely consider staying here again. Thank you for an amazing week in Duck!
