Swallow's Nest: Ocean Views | Hot Tub | Dogs OK

Planning a migration to the Outer Banks? Lead your flock to Swallow's Nest, a recently updated oceanside home in Kitty Hawk situated just two lots back from the sparkling Atlantic Ocean. Getting to the beach will be a breeze using the Starfish Lane public access, just 450 feet from the house.

After a day of sun, sand and surf, come home and admire the ocean views from both the rooftop deck and top-level great room. An open-concept layout encourages quality time spent together even when preparing meals in the kitchen. The chef in the family will appreciate the spacious layout, quartz countertops and stainless steel appliances. Serve dinner at the large dining table with seating for ten, or al fresco at the picnic table on the ocean-facing covered deck. Practical and beach-friendly LVP flooring runs throughout this dog-friendly home, ideal for sandy feet and paws returning from the beach. Check-in and check-out will be a breeze using the cargo lift to send luggage and groceries to and from the upper levels. Two electric fireplaces are available year round with or without heat (please unplug when not in use).

Four bedrooms and three full baths will comfortably accommodate family and friends, and a den on the mid-level can be used as a second living area or media room. It leads out to a covered deck with bubbly hot tub where you can take a relaxing soak while enjoying the refreshing coastal breeze. The ground level rec room is furnished with a pool table for around-the-clock indoor entertainment.

Located in Milepost 3.5 in Kitty Hawk, Swallow's Nest is within walking distance to several popular restaurants including Jimmy's Seafood Buffet and Shipwreck's Taphouse & Grill.

  • One of the northernmost towns along the coast in North Carolina, Duck is an idyllic town on the shores of the Currituck Sound. This shot was taken from the town's boardwalk while looking West over the sounds. It is advisable to visit the location in Winter as that is off season - so you can spend more time taking in the beauty of the North Carolina coastline and also sunsets are usually much more picturesque around the time owing to the cooler temperatures and lower amount of atmospheric haze. Plenty of things around Duck to see. Further north, there is the Currituck Lighthouse where you can climb the steps to the top of the lighthouse. North of Corolla, there is an area where you can drive along the coast on the sand - 4X4s a must. Here you can spot some Spanish Mustangs, horses out in the wild. If you're lucky, you can spot them running along the beach in the surf. I'd recommend taking a tour through the Corolla Wild Horse Fund - the money from the tours is used to help the wild horses in every which way possible and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. We really enjoyed the property. Hot tub, backyard and home were very inviting and wl appointed.
