Wave Call, in Southern Shores, beckons you to this luxurious cottage!

Vacation in this lovely 3-bedroom cottage in Southern Shores - just renovated with brand new kitchen appliances, smart TV in every room and luxurious bathrooms. Sleeps 8, with a king bed, queen bed, and bunk bed (twin over double w/ a twin trundle.) This retreat is perfect for families or friends looking for a beach getaway. Relax in the hot tub on the deck, read a book on the screened in porch or create memories playing games! It's easy to see why you'll be able to unwind at Wave Call.

Fully equipped & stocked kitchen, large dining table, and a grill on the back porch. The host provides bed linens, bath towels, shampoo/condition and body wash. This cottage has all the beach essentials too - chairs, umbrella, beach cart and towels.

The private Southern Shores beach access (Hillcrest) is just 1/2 mile away - easy walk or a quick drive (beach access has plenty of parking.)

Cosa c’è nei dintorni?

  • One of the northernmost towns along the coast in North Carolina, Duck is an idyllic town on the shores of the Currituck Sound. This shot was taken from the town's boardwalk while looking West over the sounds. It is advisable to visit the location in Winter as that is off season - so you can spend more time taking in the beauty of the North Carolina coastline and also sunsets are usually much more picturesque around the time owing to the cooler temperatures and lower amount of atmospheric haze. Plenty of things around Duck to see. Further north, there is the Currituck Lighthouse where you can climb the steps to the top of the lighthouse. North of Corolla, there is an area where you can drive along the coast on the sand - 4X4s a must. Here you can spot some Spanish Mustangs, horses out in the wild. If you're lucky, you can spot them running along the beach in the surf. I'd recommend taking a tour through the Corolla Wild Horse Fund - the money from the tours is used to help the wild horses in every which way possible and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Beautiful home in quiet neighborhood. The hosts have outdone themselves. Kitchen and bathrooms were stocked with everything guests might need from toothbrushes to coffee to comfortable seating and sleeping. I could go on and on. Highly recommend!

We had the best few days staying here last week! The house is very cozy and beautiful inside. Beds were very comfortable as was the living room furniture. The location is perfect; close enough to the beach but in a tucked away neighborhood that is quiet and perfect for taking walks. We were less than 2 miles from restaurants and shops in Duck so we didn't have to drive far at all. We hope to make this house a repeat rental for us whenever we're able to get back to this area.

Wonderful trip this year and a great, relaxing house to enjoy it in. Perfect amount of space for parents and two teenagers (each getting their own room). House was spotless and well equipped. Every detail was considered by the hosts: bedding included and beds already made! Well equipped kitchen (we did a lot of cooking this year). Spare toiletries, dog treats, beach towels and chairs. Immaculate hot tub and bbq. Etc etc everything you can think of they already did. Quite close to the beach but still within our favorite, quiet, bike friendly neighborhood. Best of all worlds.
