LA CABINA
La cabina 1 è situata di fronte al lodge principale. Era la casa di trasporto originale. Ora è una cabina sul lago costruita nel 1912 e condivide un lotto di 2 acri con Point Comfort Lodge storico. Cabina in stile rustico recentemente ristrutturata con 2 camere da letto. Una grande camera da letto con vista lago ha un letto king size e un piccolo divano pieghevole adatto a un bambino piccolo. La seconda camera da letto ha un letto singolo, un armadio per i vestiti e una vista sul lago. Il soggiorno ha un piccolo divano pieghevole doppio adatto per una persona. Il numero massimo di persone in questa cabina è quattro. Questo edificio era la casa di trasporto originale per Point Comfort Lodge. La cucina è completamente fornita di tutto il necessario per cucinare. Caffettiera, frullatore, pentole / padelle / teglie ecc. Tavolo da cucina con 4 sedie. Vista lago dal soggiorno. Piccolo prato privato fuori dalla camera da letto e dalle finestre del soggiorno. sedie da giardino disponibili. Barbecue a gas condiviso. IL LAGO - Cabina nella baia di Upper Klamath Lake a Point Comfort
Il lago Klamath ospita 452 specie di uccelli e le aquile sono spesso viste sugli alberi della proprietà. In estate la trota proviene da tutto il lago di 94.000 acri nella baia di fronte alla cabina. Queste trote selvatiche sono una varietà di steelhead senza sbocco sul mare 80 anni fa. Hanno una media di 2-3 chili e pescare oltre 8 chili non è raro. Questo è un posto preferito per i pescatori a mosca. Ci sono miglia di percorsi per canoa e kayak in tutta la palude. Goditi una tazza di caffè mattutino e osserva il pesce che salta nel lago!

PROPRIETÀ e DOCK
Il dock può ospitare fino a otto imbarcazioni di medie dimensioni e viene fornito con una scala in caso di salto. Ci sono 2 battelli disponibili per gli ospiti. Porta giubbotti di salvataggio. I due acri di terra che circondano la cabina sono piantati in prati ondulati e specie vegetali naturali della zona circostante. I giardini sono bellissimi in primavera quando fioriscono i cespugli di lillà e gli alberi in fiore. Ci sono molti grandi affioramenti rocciosi per innescare il dolce pendio verso il lago. Abbiamo scarpe da cavallo, palla tether e un canestro da basket.

NELLE VICINANZE
Il Rocky Point Resort si trova a mezzo miglio lungo la strada, raggiungibile in auto, a pochi passi o in barca dal nostro molo al loro. Hanno un piccolo negozio, dove è possibile acquistare una licenza di pesca, un gelato o esche da pesca se ne hai bisogno. Hanno anche un ristorante con bar completo e noleggio barche. Lake of the Woods Resort si trova 8 miglia a nord su Hwy 140, a soli 10 minuti in auto. Lake of the Woods dispone di ristorante, noleggio barche, negozio e eccellenti spiagge balneari. Il Running Y Resort si trova a 15 minuti a sud su Hwy 140, con bar e ristorante, minimarket e un meraviglioso campo da golf a 18 buche progettato da Arnold Palmer, classificato come uno dei 100 migliori negli Stati Uniti Crater Lake è un bellissimo disco, a soli 45 minuti a nord. This was a wonderful 2-bedrom cabin with all the amenities (kitchen, TV, great beds, nice bathroom). The view of the lake was outstanding with lots of nice outdoor seating. There was even a can of insect repellant which we used since we forgot ours. The kitchen was even stocked with coffee and condiments and PopTarts. The cabin was an easy drive from Klamath Falls and within nice reach of Crater Lake. Loved it!

Perfect Getaway

We came to Klamuth Falls to watch our son play soccer for OIT. We stayed in Cabin 1, and it was the perfect getaway. While it isn't in Klamuth Falls, it is an easy and beautiful 25 minute drive to town. We loved the cozy nostalgia. The area was quiet and peaceful. For October, the weather was gorgeous, and we enjoyed walking around the lake and down the highway. There was a firepalce/heat stove inside and gas bbq grills, a firepit, and yard games outside we could use. Management was friendly and easy to communicate with. The cabin was very clean, perhaps due for a dusting, but very fresh and clean. We are so glad we stayed here instead of a hotel room! We will definitely be back!

Million dollar view...

The cabin is in a beautiful location with a million dollar view IF they would trim the bushes that have grown over the window. Oh how tempted I was to get some pruners! It rained off and on all for 3 of the 4 days we were there so we spent alot of time indoors. It's a shame that we couldn't enjoy the view of the lake. I'm not 100% sure that the cabin had been cleaned before we arrived. The bathroom was skipped for sure. Whiskers in the sink and used dental floss on the trash basket. I did a quick clean myself so that we could be comfortable but for the price we paid this shouldn't have been necessary. Overall the cabin is a nice option if you aren't looking for fancy. It's simple and we enjoyed the peace and quiet of the lake and surrounding nature. I'd be so happy to see the owners put in a little effort to spruce it up a bit and for the love of all that is holy, TRIM THOSE BUSHES!!! You've got a million dollar view there if you'd just do that one thing.

Property located in a lovely spot. The cabin is quite comfortable though a bit dark and dated. Great shower (water pressure excellent & instant hot water). Absolutely hated the polyester "microfiber" bedding; it's like trying to sleep in a plastic bag, extremely unpleasant.

Quiet and Peaceful

We stayed in cabin 1 and it was beautiful. They prvided everything you need for summer or winter and it was just a relaxing and quiet weekend. The owners were really helpful and responsive when needed. Would definitely go again next year.

Lakeside cabin

Small cabin in a great location. Cabin was clean and comfortable (cold nights required using the wood stove which worked just fine). Location is very nice with lake view and nearby activities. I would certainly stay here again.

A true gem - tranquil and just what the doctor ordered

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights as part of a 2- month journey from Alaska home to Virginia. This whole area is idyllic with beautiful lakes and mountains. The historic cabin had everything we needed - super comfy bed, high speed internet, kitchen appliances/dishes, etc. Communication with the host was easy. The listing description is very accurate and informative, but do be aware the map does not point to the correct location - this is not in Klamath Falls the town, but in the Rocky Point area. We loved the Rocky Point area. We cooked most meals in, but ventured out to some of the area resorts as well. Easy driving distance to beautiful places such as Crater Lake & Lava Beds National Monument . Highly recommend this place!

Kayaker's and birder's paradise.

I've stayed at Point Comfort Cabin#1 at least eight times and I love it! This is a wonderful cabin with a gorgeous view of Upper Klamath Lake and everything you would ever need for a fantastic vacation. The lake is about 40 yards from the cabin and we can leave our kayaks down by the water. We were lucky enough to have the owner staying next door this time and he and his wife could not have done more for us. I hope to keep going back to Point Comfort every year in late May for as long as I am able.

Beautiful rustic cabin

Loved the homey feel of this cabin. Had all the amenities I needed plus a wonderful wood stove fireplace for the cold nights. Million dollar views of the sunrise every morning.

Cozy, calm, and quiet

We loved the cabin & the surrounding property. We all felt an immediate joy upon arrival. The full moon casting sparkling light on the water the first night was almost magical. It was fun imagining all the people who visited the main lodge since the early 1900’s.

Beautiful Location

Location is ideal. View of lake and surrounded by green. Relatively quiet and comfortable. Manager was visible and available to help troubleshoot some minor blips. My rating is a four rather than a five because of cleanliness. Bed in smaller room was unkempt. Makeup smudges on bathroom shelf. Kitchen need deeper cleaning and it seemed no one had vacuumed. Also half the fans in cottage did not work. However, the beds were comfortable and the shower is great.

Down time

If you want a quick quite getaway, this is the place. Cottage is quaint and simple. It is outdated but clean and has great views of the water. We were the only ones in the entire lodge which was abit disconcerting but we tried not to let it bother us (think the wildfires drove people away). The owner was quick to respond to our questions and easy to communicate. One big plus, not too far from Crater Lake.

2 night stay

Overall this was a good property in terms of location and communication with the owner. It is an older cottage, so we did not expect luxury, but it was dirty, and there was an ant infestation. We could not open windows due to the fact that the screens were broken, and of the three fans available only one was functional. No basic amenities such as hand and dishwashing soap were available. I have spoken to the owner, and he seemed responsive to our concerns. I would be sure to speak to him before renting this in the future.
