“After a week on a river boat, we booked a night at Hartley House and thoroughly enjoyed it. We felt right at home and the hostess, Kate was remarkable in how she went above and beyond in order to meet our needs. This is the true Ireland in an old, historic house in a quiet country area. A very memorable stay with a wonderful big breakfast. ”

“We have stayed here before and received the usual warm welcome from the owner. The location is to the east of Carrick town, on a side road set back from the M4. The accommodation is quiet though. Bedrooms are cosy and homely.. A good breakfast in the dining room is ensured. Plenty of safe parking space.”

“Right in the village close to the pubs they have. Parking free and easy. No staff on, all automated. Interior ok but a little dated. For one night though it was perfect.”

“The staff at the front desk was average , the staff in the restaurant spoke poor English , not friendly and slow . ”

“A fantastic place to stay. My elderly parents required an ensuite and this fitted the bill perfectly. Fresh flowers greeted us on the fining table. Great selection of leaflets showing you things to do in the west coast of Ireland. Would highly reccomend a visit to Parkes Castle followed by a boat ride on Lough Gill stopping at Dooley Park https://roseofinnisfree.com/ . The house is fantastic location to Sligo town, strandhill, rosses point, just under an hour to Knock airport, 2 hours from...
