The place looks great, the staff is superb, but I can't believe they let people sleep on such a mattress, that's just a bunch of springs poking at you all night. AC smelled pretty bad as well

The resort was inland but a regular shuttle takes you to a nice beach. A restaurant provides beer and food there at very reasonable prices. Free abundant beach chairs and shade is available. Several restaurants are a short walk away down a road heading towards the beach from the front of the hotel. Massage is available at a reasonable price at the hotel as well. Please note that island transportation is very expensive so you will likely stay at the resort. We arranged through them a full day snorkeling tour of 4 locations and that was a highlight. The have a nice buffet breakfast but it tends to get a bit boring after a few days. They have tiny pre-made omelets, sunny side eggs, ham and chicken hotdogs mainly for western items and varied Thai dishes as well as salad, bread, etc. The main changes are to the Thai breakfast dishes so my suggestion is to make changes to the western food items a well. A more varied fruit section would be nice too.

Das Annika ist ein gutes Hotel. Die Lage ist ja bekannt. Ein Roller oder Fahrrad also zu empfehlen. Der Empfang ist herzlich und die Leute einem sofort sympathisch. Sehr schön ist der Garten, wobei etwas mehr Pflege gut tun würde. Und sehr schade ist, das der große Baum am Pool weg ist. Die Zimmer sind okay. Mehr aber auch nicht. Da merkt man der Anlage das Alter am meisten an. Sehr dinkel durch die verwendeten Materialien. Der Poolbereich ist schön, aber auch hier wird keine Pflege betrieben wie es mir scheint. Die Hälfte der Liegen ist kaputt. Noch würde ich das Hotel buchen, aber viel fehlt nicht mehr, damit ich es als schlecht bezeichnen würde.

Would stay again!
The hotel is set amongst beautiful tropical gardens, water features traditional thai sculptures with a back drop of the mountains. The accomodation was very clean and spacious with a fridge, safe, nice balcony with table and chairs overlooking the gardens. Its a little dated, but it didnt effect our stay. The staff are all very friendly and accomodatig. We found the mattress to be too hard and they quickly added a soft mattress topper which we didnt expect, so thank you! The pool is lovely, the warmest I have had any where. A bit dissappionted with the pool bar, looks univiting but did offer the restaurant menu. We travelled with a toddler and they provided a large size cot in the room. Its bot the most buggy friendly property with steps to the rooms and difficult pathways to pool area, but we managed. The restaurant food service was a bit slow, but the food was delicious. Breakfast was good, a mixture of cereal, pastries, fruits, yogurt, eggs and thai options. It would be nice if they had a coffee shop on site.

Oh là là ! Quelle dégringolade. Les avis antérieurs à 2021 ne correspondent plus à la réalité. Troisième fois que nous venons au RAMANAYA aujourd'hui ANNIKA. En février 2021 tout était parfait. Aujourd'hui il est indiqué : Une salle de sport, faux. Abandonnée et aucun appareil en fonction. Deux restaurants, faux. Un seul Un café. Faux. Ne fonctionne plus. Un sauna. Faux n'existe pas. Un SPA. Faux n'existe pas Massages. Faux n'existent plus. Petits déjeuners en chute libre. Il y aurait tellement à redire. Manque de professionalisme criant. Plus du tout le petit déjeuner du RAMANAYA qui se prenait au kiosque et qui est désormais en plein courant d'air avec les bruits routiers. Pas de plage. Auparavant on vous emmenait sur une belle plage d'un hôtel avec toutes les commodités, aujourd'hui on vous emmène sur un semblant de plage déserte perdu avec aucune commodité. Chambres spacieuses et literie correctes, toutes exposées sur un magnifique et très joli jardin toujours très bien entretenu. Très agréable piscine et bain à remous dotée de chaises longues matelassées et de parasols. Ne prennent pas la carte bancaire (aucune, ni locale ni internationale), les notes doivent être réglées en espèces. Accueil globalement correct. Entre 35 et 50 euros maxi par nuit, le rapport qualité prix resterait raisonnable. Au delà ça serait bien trop élevé au regard des prestations, de l'emplacement isolé et de tous les manquements pourtant indiqués sur le site Expedia et qui n'existent plus.

Personnel particulierement attentionne notamment au moment du petit dejeuner. Restaurant diner aux prix tout a fait corrects. Neanmoins importantes ruptures de produits pourtant sur la carte. Exemple, plus aucune creme glace ou sorbet. Dommage. Excellent cadre avev des chambres toutes de plein pieds. Pas d etage. Et le tout dans un cadre parfaitement entretenu. Nous y reviendrons.

Staff at Hotel and restaurant all very friendly and helpful, they are great to my Children who class them all as friends. I have been going their for several years now and go several times each year and go even more now I have retired and will continue to do so. Room service very good and you can have food delivered to your room.

Delightful Resort in a Beautiful Setting
Beautifully set out resort in a garden setting. Is not on the beach but has an hourly transport to the best beach on the island. The restaurant food is of a high quality and very reasonably priced, all prices include taxes therefore there are no additional surprises when you get the bill. The Buffett breakfast has all the usual fare for westerners along with some Asian choices and is generally a good standard. The swimming pool is delightful and situated such that it gets shade which keeps the water cool and refreshing. There is a convenience store within about a 10 minute walk and a few small restaurants can be found close by. All in all I have no trouble in recommending this resort, we stayed 8 nights in a standard room that had everything we needed and I would definitely stay here again.

Супер отель: красивая зеленая территория, комфортные номера, вкусные завтраки и очень крутой персонал. Возят на пляж каждый час. 1 раз в день отвозят на водопад и забирают. Супер!!!

Очень душевный отель! Несмотря на то, что номера явно уставшие, и в начале проживаемы нас это напрягало, то потом все плюсы отеля перекрыли этот минус! Отель просто замечательный! Уютный, все вокруг радует глаз! Ухоженная территория, прекрасный бассейн с тёплой джакузи. Бассейн работает до 20:00 и вечерние купания были просто сказочными!!! Завтраки однообразные, но вкусные, всегда всего хватало, накормить 3-х летнего ребёнка не было проблемой. Мы довольны своим выбором и скорее всего вернёмся ещё!

Das Resort ist sehr schön angelegt. Das Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Mopedverleih im Hotel möglich. Das Zimmer ist geräumig, das Bad könnte mal renoviert werden, ist aber soweit OK. Klimaanlage war etwas laut. Da es nicht direkt am Strand liegt, gibt es einen Shuttleservice oder man nimmt ein moped, was am besten ist, da man damit die Insel erkunden kann. Wir können das Resort empfehlen.

Good value for money
An OK resort with kind of a ”jungle”-feeling with big, well-maintained garden. Situated a bit off from everything and you need to take a taxi/motorbike to get to beaches or restaurants. During daytime they offer free rides to and from a really nice site on Klong Prao beach, which is really nice. The resort is kind of old and outdated, but it is clean and offer nice service like gym and a nice pool. The rooms are quite big. Staff is really nice and vett service-minded. Nice breakfast with many choices. Given the low price, you have to say that it’s good value for money, but don’t expect the newest and most luxurious resort, and be prepared that it’s a bit off the beaches.

Sehr gepflegte, sehr saubere Anlage. Die Unterkünfte sind mit Terrassen ausgestattet und bieten ausreichend Privatsphäre mit Blick ins Grüne (Gärten mit vielen Palmen und Orchideen). Die Zimmer sind groß und geräumig. Die Poolanlage (Kinderpool, Swimmingpool, Whorpool) ist sehr sauber und nicht chlorgetränkt. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist groß und bietet neben Brot/Aufschnitt, frisches Omelette, frisches Obst, engl. Frühstück und täglich wechselnde warme Thaispeisen an. Zu unserer Reisezeit waren viele Familien mit Kleinkindern dort, die vom Personal begrüßt wurden - Kinder wurden dort keineswegs störend empfunden. Allgemein war das Personal sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und interessiert. Die Abendrestaurants waren zu unserem Reisezeitpunkt nicht stark besucht, jedoch war das Essen authentisch thailändisch und stets frisch zubereitet. Das Hotel bietet kostenlos einen täglichen (sehr pünktlichen!) Shuttleservice zum Kai Bae beach (stündlich), whitesand beach (1x täglich) und zu dem nahegelegenen Wasserfall im Djungel an. Zum Wasserfall unbedingt festes Schuhwerk anziehen, man muss am Parkplatz ein Ticket für den Nationalpark kaufen (200 Baht) und noch etwa 15 Minuten durch den Djungel wandern - lohnt sich! Abends ist man in der Anlage abgeschottet vom Trubel, da sie etwas außerhalb liegt. Ramayana vermietet gut gewartete Roller und man kann einfach Taxen ordern um mobil zu sein. Zusammenfassend waren wir mit der Unterkunft Ramayana überaus zufrieden und würden wieder dort buchen.

Nice and friendly resort!
Location is not next to the beach but they have free bus rides every day or motorbike rentals if you want. We had access to a car which helped us! :-)

Empfehlung!
Die Anlage des Ramayana ist üppig tropisch bewachsen, wodurch sie sehr romantisch ist. Unser Zimmer war groß und sauber. Lediglich das Bett war etwas hart. Das Frühstück war lecker und es gab eine gute Auswahl. Das Hotel liegt nicht direkt am Strand, was aber gar kein Problem ist, da man sich im Hotel Roller ausleihen kann oder den kostenfreien Shuttle zum Strand nutzen kann. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich das außerordentliche Personal, dass stets freundlich und zuvorkommend war. Super Hotel mit klasse Personal und einem ganz sehr empfehlenswerten Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.
