Summary:

Relax in a 1 bedroom home in sunny Koloa on Kauai's South side. Very close to restaurants, shopping and world class beaches!



The Space:

Located in Poipu Beach Estates, this second level home features air conditioning, an open kitchen and living area and a King size bed. The private lanai provides sweeping views of the mesmerizing sunsets and cosmic evening sky.



You will only be minutes from the Shops at Kukuiu’ula, Poipu Shopping Village, Kiahuna and Poipu Bay Golf, along with world class beaches and ocean access galore.



Poipu is located on Kauai's sunny South side. There are many restaurants nearby from casual to classy. The Beach House, Tidepools, The Eating House, Puka Dog, and Waialua Shave Ice.



Guest Access:

You will have full access to the home and it's many listed amenities.



The Neighborhood:

You will be located in Poipu Beach Estates. Only a few minutes from Beaches, Shopping and Golfing.



Getting Around:

A rental car is highly recommended. We have Lyft, Uber and the County Bus available, however they are not a reliable source of timely transportation.



Other Things to Note:

This is a second floor home with plenty of space, a fully functional kitchen, and a large bedroom with a king size bed.

Our stay was good. There were a few issues such as no propane for the stove or dryer and the batteries needed to be replaced in the smoke detector. We contacted the management and they had some delivered. The couch needs to be upgraded. Very uncomfortable. The listing did not mention that there were chairs, umbrellas, coolers or other beach items available. We rented some because we didn’t know. And finally the air conditioning was only in the bedroom, not the whole unit. It was uncomfortable to sit in the living area. It was a very nice place and we had a great time on Kauai.

Uncomfortably hot/ must drive to the beach

Extremely disappointed in the property. Maybe ok in the winter but uncomfortably hot in the summer. Bought a thermometer and it averaged 81 degrees in the home. The only room that had ac was the bedroom. My hard candy became sticky from the heat and humidity. Had to leave by 9 am since the sun was beaming thru the sliders by then. The add states 19 minute walk to baby beach but owner said it would not be safe to do so as poipu road is dangerous to cross. As soon as you open the door you are greeted by a nasty odor wondering if it is from lack of ac and the humidity. Add states coffee maker but fails to state that it is a keurig and I was unable to use my ground coffee. They have the ice maker turned off thus unable to use. The oven would not turn on but the burners worked. Add states hot tub??? Never saw one.. Extremely uncomfortable furniture including the couch, living room chairs, outside chairs . Did not provide for an inviting environment as I could not wait to run out the door in the am and only reluctantly returned to sleep there. Full disclosure the owner did offer a full refund as I complained when we arrived but due to it being high season alternative accommodations were already booked. We attempted to make the best out of a bad situation. Do not recommend

Time of relaxation

Neighborhood was extremely quiet(something I am not used to). Poi pu beach estates. Walking distance to beach, restaurant. We rented a car and navigation of the area was simple. Close to many restaurants, store and shops. We would visit this area again.

Peaceful retreat

This house is a gem. It's located on a quiet estate with other holiday houses close to Poipu Beach. Apart from the occasional rooster (which you can't escape anywhere on Kauai anyway), it was very silent and peaceful, which we really appreciated. It was clean, comes with a huge kitchen stocked with basically everything you may need to cook yourself should you want to. We especially appreciated the large bed and walk in closetspace

Away from the crowds

This property is located in a residential area walking distance to multiple restaurants and shops. Quiet location with sunset views every day. Parking right below. Why would anyone want to rent a condo instead of this property. Thanks Paula!!

Excellent location in Poipu Kaua’i HI

An excellent location with all amenities such as washer dryer AC dishwasher coffee makers etc. very quiet and calm neighborhood. Definitely 5 stars and would reserve again if I plan to visit Kaua’i again.

Beautiful stay in Poipu

This was our second stay at this particular property, we enjoyed our stay both times. The spot is great, in a quite neighborhood a short drive to the beach. The nearby Poipu beach is beautiful, although it was quite a bit busier then before, perhaps due to the time of year or just because everyone knows how beautiful it is. Great place to stay for 2 people!

A clean, peaceful, and relaxing place to stay

The guest house was a clean, peaceful, and relaxing place to stay in a quiet neighborhood. It was well equipped with everything we needed to cook our own meals. It was also just a short distance to many nearby restaurants and convenient for being able to drive to either end of the island. Paula was easy to communicate with and had helpful recommendations. We are so glad we chose to stay here!

Great suite in Poipu

Paula’s suite is comfortable and clean. We enjoyed having our meals on the small lanai and watching the distant sunset and stars at night. The bed is very comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked. Nice quiet neighborhood but still close to the beach and amenities. Paula was great at communicating and helpful.

Six stars 🌟

We loved the location of this cozy and spacious one bedroom with all the bells and whistles. It was 5 minutes from Poipu beach, in a quiet (except for the roosters!) residential neighborhood. Most of all we appreciated the communication with Paula, who offered much helpful information, and when the washing machine didn't work, gave us alternatives and even compensated us for the inconvenience. It was also great to have beach towels, chairs, and umbrella since we were at one beach or another often. Would give 6 stars if we could, and highly recommend. We'll be back!!

Excellent!

Super clean. Well stocked. Close to shops and beach. I loved staying here. Owner was very communicative. The house has everything you need in a quiet neighborhood close to Poipu beach. The beach is glorious: green turtles, monk seals, great snorkeling.

Fantastic stay in Poipu

Paula was helpful from the moment we booked. She provided great local recommendations, her place was stocked with all the things we needed and then some, and it was the perfect place to relax at the end of the day. We couldn't have asked for a better experience - exactly what we were looking for in a venue and a host. Highly recommend and would definitely stay with Paula again!

Everything was fine

The accommodation is exactly as described online. It is in a very quiet neighborhood. Everything was clean. Ideal for two people. Everything you need was there. The kitchen is very big. Also for the beach you will find everything you need in the house. Only a larger cool box and blue ice would be nice. Air conditioning is available, but with the ventilation specifications given, it was cool enough for us that we didn't need the air conditioning. We can recommend the accommodation.

Excellent private hideaway

Location is perfect for us. Just off the main road a bit, so it’s quiet and dark at night. Clean space, all necessary appliances and comforts included, with a nice, cozy feel overall. The host was excellent in communication and availability, but we had zero issues with our stay, which is a big plus. The bedroom has A/C, but due to the breeze and airflow throughout, we kept kitchen windows open at night and opened the bedroom slider a bit and didn’t use the A/C once during our stay. Nothing but great things to say about it.

Amazing stay!

This house was perfect for our honeymoon vacation. The location is literally the best on the island. The neighborhood is pleasant, clean and very well kept. There was plenty of room and has pretty much anything you need in the kitchen. Highly recommended!

Perfect Couples Retreat

As frequent visitors of Kauai, this property is a top of our lists of stays. Check in was very easy; Paula was very responsive to us with any questions. The stay was fantastic; located in a quiet neighborhood with very friendly neighbors. 3 minute drive (10 minute walk) to the beach. We will definitely be booking this stay again, highly recommend!!

As advertised on Vrbo clean and good location in the south. Paula checked in to see if everything was good. Had a slight issue with the bbq getting 2 burners lit. Overall we had a great vacation.

Perfectly positioned for fun

Overall had a great stay, the place has a very well appointed kitchen, wonderfully close to all Poipu has to offer (even walked to dinner in the Kukui'ula center) and an easy drive to the Waimea Canyon and so much more. The bed is comfortable. Knocked off a star because the couch is uncomfortable (which wouldn't matter much to us on a normal Hawaiian vacation as we aren't sitting around on the couch, but there were thunderstorms over two days of our stay and the rest of the place is so so nice it was kind of shocking!) Also my wife practiced yoga in the yard and hung her mat by the outdoor shower, it went missing and when we contacted the owner they told us the cleaning people must have thrown it in the garbage so to look in the bins... They had, and it was not even in a bag, it was disgusting and ruined the $80 yoga mat. No apology just explained they thought the last people must have left it even though it was halfway through our stay. Overall this home is a great deal for what you get, and I would not hesitate to recommend it, very impressed with the kitchen (coffee and espresso machines are awesome!) and bedroom high end finishes and linens and such. Owner was responsive when we texted. Sister property is far enough a way you don't hear them. Location and quiet neighborhood cannot be beat.
