“This is a primitive camping site. Yes the tent is large and there is an outdoor toilet and shower which is delightful but this is still just a camp site. No other facilities. There is no A/C and it can get quite hot in the tent. We had a wonderful candle lit dinner by the chef who also lit us a fire which was beautiful under the stars. Some holes in the tent need to be fixed due to mosquitos. ”

“The team at Big Game was amazing! We booked because we really wanted to do a safari and that was amazing but we were blown away be everything else! The food was above and beyond what I expected with 4 courses for dinner, 3 at lunch , and a very full breakfast. They list breakfast as continental but it's much more than that. The first tent we were in was fine but we upgraded part way through and really appreciated the extra space! ”

“Well spaced out tented accommodation in a glorious lakeside setting. Very helpful courteous staff and excellent knowledgeable guide for nature walks. Solar power and recycling of plastics helps eco credentials. Basic shower facility but ‘does the job’. Food was very authentic Sri Lankan. And what could be better than sitting under a star lit sky eating dinner with a central wood fire! A very short drive to Wilpattu national park entrance. All in all a pleasant comfortable stay. Very good value...

“Hôtel bien placé pour safari à Wilpatu, le safari était super avec un guide très attentif et qui a su nous montrer beaucoup d animaux et oiseaux en prenant bien le temps. Une coupure de courant le soir, le personnel a tout fait pour rétablir au plus vite. Le gérant de l hôtel propose ses services de chauffeur pour des prix correct, très arrangeant. ”

“The first nights dinner was horrible cos we ordered the wrong stuff & lunch & breafsdt sandwiches were not so good. So the next day for breakfast we ordered Sri Lankan milk rice, string hoppers & Pol Rotti., chicken & fish curry, potato & dhal curry. It was absolutely super, excellent. The fruit was so good. It was to die for. The papaya especially.”
