“Beautiful historic property. If you like historical hotels this is nice one. Staff was, without exception very good. I gave 4 stars because of the age and wear, which is to be expected, but might bother travelers who prefer newer properties. Great blackout curtains. The hotel bar was good.”

“The front desk staff were exceptional. They were really the stars of my entire trip. They allowed us to check in a little early and the room was ready, and they were nice and friendly for my entire stay. There were a lot of great options for breakfast which include waffles. Also, the homemade biscuits were the best biscuits I've tasted in a very long time. I didn't use the housekeeping service-but I'm sure they would have been just as great. “The young man working the desk on Oct. 24 & 25 was very helpful! He went out of his way to make sure my stay was excellent. He even recommended a great restaurant (Mildred's) to get lunch at while they were preparing my room.”
