What a let down
I had such high hopes for this property and looked forward to the serene setting by the golf course in PGA West La Quinta. I so wanted to enjoy the pool in the low 90's temperatures but during our 6-night stay I never got in the pool or jacuzzi. There were algae growing on the walls of the pool and jacuzzi, the bottom of the pool was very dirty and there were 1000's of boatman bugs in the pool. We were not informed of these bugs being in the pool before we arrived or after we left. I looked up how to combat these bugs and found that they could be treated with chlorine shock, brushing the walls and making sure no algae was in the pool. I watched the pool service person come 1 day into our stay and scooped a few leaves out of the pool and left with doing anything. The house needs TLC and there were few amenities besides the pool to enjoy. The view is amazing, but I could have gone elsewhere to obtain the same view. The lack of communication was also very frustrating. No responses to email messages, text message or responses to messages the host sent us thru 2 different apps they recommended we use. I called a couple of times and spoke to John who acted like I was interrupting him and told me to send a text which I did so I know they saw some of my message, which they claimed to not have seen after our stay was over. I would never stay at another property managed by Shevy and John.....it was a terrible experience and if I were you I would look elsewhere.
