  • The beauty of this elaborate home in Laclede enhances the views of the Pend Oreille River. Everything from the exquisite woodwork throughout the house to the granite kitchen countertops to the cozy, radiant-heated floors will elevate your Sandpoint vacation. This home has room to cook big meals after days at the beach, while the comfortable loft is the perfect place to wake up with sunlight pouring through the large windows. There is also a separate guesthouse with three bedrooms, one bathroom, a second full kitchen, and a fun-filled game room in the garage with a dartboard and foosball, making it perfect for larger families. Outdoors, you'll also find a six-person hot tub and a firepit for those cool summer nights.

    This home is on the Pend Oreille River, which boasts beautiful wildlife views and plenty of family fun at Riley Creek Recreation Area. The Willow Bay Marina has a beach, a fantastic restaurant, and gas available for boats, and it is located directly across the river from this home. After Dover, the Marina is the only restaurant and stop for gas on the entire 36-mile stretch of the river. A 15-mile drive will take you to Sandpoint, where you can enjoy beautiful lake beaches and all the local shops and restaurants this city offers. Schweitzer Moutain Resort is less than 30 miles away and offers world-class skiing and snowboarding.

This is one of very few places in our area that is large enough for our group. Beds are comfortable. Kitchen is equipped with items for large families also. It is conveniently located within a reasonable drive to a grocery store. We love the water and can enjoy the water fun and sunshine at this beautiful location.

Family Gathering/Celebration of Life

Wonderful property. Plenty of space for the family to cook, play, and relax on the water. Tranquil and relaxing. The house is as advertised and accommodated our family comfortably. We traveled from TX, CA, AZ, WA and ID to spend time as a family for a Celebration of Life after our mom’s passing. A lovely place to laugh, share memories and honor her memory. Thank you!

We booked this home because my son was getting married in the area. We decided to make this special occasion extra special by spending the week before the wedding with extended family from out of state. It did not disappoint! Family Vacation 2024

Great house for our family's annual 2024 President's Day Vacay. Beautiful riverfront house with gorgeous view of the river and lots of beds for our large family. We had a fantastic extra long weekend skiing at Switzer and relaxing in the hot tub. Some of our braver ones even took a polar plunge in the freezing river, brrr!!!More memories in the book. Thank you so much for sharing your lovely house.

The place is beautiful

Loved our stay with a couple of exceptions: 1. We were told that the kitchen bedroom had an actual bed as is shown in the photos. It has a sofa bed and was borderline comfortable. 2. The photos show a tv in the kitchen bedroom and there was not one there. 3. The security cameras felt very invasive All in all we enjoyed the stay but felt that we’d not select this house again.

Review

Excellent location and amenities. However, we overflowed with garbage and was given no instructions where to take it. Fortunately, we found a disposal company to take it to close by and they recommended the homeowner to buy a sticker with a code so the renters won’t have to pay a fee. Also, the barbecue Traegher caught on fire when we barbecued hamburgers. Apparently, there was a lot of grease that had accumulated in the bottom of the Traegher prior to our stay. Luckily there was a fire extinguisher to put the fire out. The Traegher needs to be cleaned out periodically to prevent this from happening again. Otherwise, we had a great time.

We visited in early June 2021 and it was great for our family reunion. The house was clean and well cared for. One note for big groups - the rooms upstairs are an open layout, so there isn’t as much privacy and sound (snoring) carries.
