“We loved our stay at Thistle House. The house was beautifully maintained and furnished and even detail was thoughtfully taken care of. We had rooms with a lovely view over the loch and we were also served a delicious breakfast. We will definitely come back! ”

“We stayed only one night therefore my opinion can be partial. The building is old and some parts should probably be renewed (elevator first!) but well kept in general. The room rather small but clean. WiFi is probably underdimensioned as I could not connect despite of the good signal, fortunately personel (all very kind) provided an alternative network. The hotel is located right on the main road so it was easy to find. It is also very quiet though. Parking is in the area of the hotel. Other...

“Great wee weekend in Dunoon stayed in various hotels there but this was a surprise package, looking at the building might give the wrong impression of it. Beautiful old building which maintains a lot of its periodic charm and features but our room was very modern, spacious, clean and comfortable. Dillon and his partner were very welcoming and fully hands on at any request and with pup Willow on hand for cuteness made a great team to relate with even if her teeth are like needles, thats the pup...

“Le camere si trovano nell'edificio dall'altra parte della strada rispetto all'omonimo bar. Il check in è legato agli orari di quest'ultimo, ma noi abbiamo avvisato del ritardo e sono venuti a consegnarci le chiavi senza problemi. La camera era molto grande e accogliente. Letto comodo e ampio, asciugacapelli, Tv e colazione molto abbondante.”

“I only spent one night here but I thought the the hotel was very good. The room was spacious and very comfortable, couldn’t get the TV to work but that could be me. The evening meal was good and served well. One note to let it down, the surly staff member at breakfast is no help to your business.”

Everything was first rate: friendly staff, the warmest of welcomes, Great spa treatments, excellent pool, sauna and steam bath, clean and comfortable room, and excellent meals! “L’albergo è bellissimo, la stanza spaziosa e comoda, il bagno grande e con tutti i confort preciso, perfino gli accappatoi per la doccia. “The house itself is lovely, the room was very comfortable, the beds were heavenly, and the breakfast was excellent. The staff were accommodating when we had some delays checking in and out. The shower was the only downside--it was very hard to get the water to turn on and the water pressure was weak.”

Well appointed room and with fridge, kettle, tea, coffee. En-suite with fluffy towels, cotton buds, soap and shower gel. Close to lovely cafés and bars of Inverary and walkable to the beautiful castle. Would recommend!”

“Directly opposite the Loch side and Bens. Clean hotel with lovely seating areas, pool table, bar and restaurant. Staff were really friendly. Quite a lot of choice for breakfast. Just watch out for midgies outdoors!”

“We loved our stay here. Our room was perfect, breakfast was delicious, the hotel is spotless and the staff in all areas were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The restaurant is lovely, we ate there twice, the food both times was delicious and the view is incredible no matter where you sit. We can’t praise the place enough!”
