Our guide was the first female guide in Ecuador. She was excellent giving us so much time and her expertise in identifying a vast array of birds. Carmen’s cooking and homemade breads was exceptional. “We had a magical stay at Casa Vista Alta. We stayed in the cabin, which is a bit of a distance from the lodge. I wouldn’t recommend it for folks that had mobility issues. However, the cabin was immersed in nature and conveyed a sense of serenity and Connection with the amazing jungle. The staff were kind the food delicious and I highly recommend this lodge.”

When I got an ear infection, one of their workers walked me to a medical clinic and helped me with the appointment. The family even invited me to go bicycling with them. ”
