Hillside Lakehouse- historic cabin/walk to Village

Summary:

Welcome to The Hillside Lakehouse. This 1930's cabin is within walking distance of the Village, lake, trails, brewery and more, providing both proximity and peace. With impeccably designed renovations, the cottage still maintains the warmth of the original design. Perched on a hill with a large deck, you'll find this treehouse cottage to be a most peaceful retreat, perfect for all four seasons. Put on a record, start a fire, and fall in love with the slower pace of life in the mountains.



The Space:

The main living room and dining space sit under a steep A-frame roof and wood paneled walls. From the couch, you can enjoy the view of the deck and the surrounding forest while sitting close to the fireplace. The floor to ceiling window floods the room with natural light, while the sage green walls provide a sense of calm and coziness. Towards the back of the cabin you'll find the renovated kitchen with original wood paneled cabinets and a dutch-door that leads to the deck. In the back of the cabin sits the renovated full bathroom and the master bedroom, with a queen size bed. From the living space follow the stairs to the loft, which include a queen size bed, full size bed, and a half bathroom, all under the A-frame ceilings making it the coziest place in the cabin. We've traded a TV for a record player, a pile of books, good art, pine trees, and hopefully all the peace you're looking for in the mountains.



Guest Access:

**Lake Access: All our guests are welcome to use our lake passes for accessing the lake trails! We have recommendations on the best places to swim or relax on the sand.**



The Neighborhood:

This highly desirable neighborhood is full of historic cabins dotted along winding roads. Considered to be the most lush area of Lake Arrowhead, the pine trees are plentiful and the neighborhood sleepy. In contrast, you can find yourself at a brewery or a lake view restaurant within just a mile or two.



You'll love taking walks around the neighborhood, along the lake path, or to the Village! We're located on the shadier part of the lake, which means it's cooler in the summer and gets more snow in winter! We're not far off the main road, which makes access quick and easy (and you'll be sure to have plowed roads in winter!)



Getting Around:

In the warm months, get out on the lake with our friends at Mackenzie Ski School. Enjoy walking around the Lake Arrowhead Village, where kids feed ducks and eat big candy apples. Sky Park at Santa's Village is always a hit year round, with fun outdoor activities for all ages. Take a picnic to MacKay Park overlooking the lake, or enjoy the beauty of Dogwood trails. Half day visits to Lake Gregory or Green Valley Lake are also highly recommended.

In winter months, come up for snow sports! We're exactly half hour drive to Snow Valley Ski Resort, 20 minutes to the Snowdrift tubing park, and 3 minutes to a great sledding area.

This property is accessible by stairs and not recommended for those with mobility limitations.



The cabin is not suitable for children under five years old due to the narrow loft stairs and an elevated outdoor deck.



We actually do not have a TV. With super fast wifi however, you could bring a laptop and enjoy a movie in bed or by the fire :)



Cancellation Policy: Guests may cancel their reservation free of charge up to 30 days before the scheduled arrival date. Cancellations made 30 days or more in advance will receive a full refund of the total booking amount.
