“Carriage House” Walking Distance Private 5 Acres.

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. The carriage house is situated to the right of the main house, over a heated/ air conditioned garage for your use. Good for your Snowmobiles, Car show vehicles, Motorcycles etc. Main house was built in 1912 on 5 acres. The carriage house 2006. The carriage house has private entrance to house and garage. Property within walking distance to the Lk George Village shops, restaurants, beach. Homeowner on sight. We are here if needed and will respect your privacy at all times. We have 2 dogs that you will see wondering around on the property but they are very friendly. Pool is ready for guest to swim, however waiver is required.

  • Lake George Steamboat Company offers a variety of tours and tour lengths on three different boats. This is the Mohican, their largest. The trip was about 2.5 hours, cost about $23 per person and traveled from the southern point of the lake to about half way north. There is a snack bar but I did not visit it. There is commentary talking about the history of the lake, area and some of the houses. It was a very relaxing and pleasant way to spend the afternoon.

Carriage house

Our family of 5 enjoyed our stay at the Carriage house! Very clean and comfortable and enough space for all of us! The house had everything we needed in the kitchen for home cooked meals. Location of the carriage house was perfect too, not too far from all the popular spots. We would stay here again! Thank you Rhonda!!

Lake George

We spent three nights here and had a great vacation. Very close to all the Lake George activities. Also found a lot of good food in Warrensburg, which is close by. The house is nice and had everything we needed. The kids loved the pool. Host was available for any questions or needs, but also very respectful of privacy.

Family vacation with small children

The carriage house was beautiful, spacious, and had amazing amenities. The beds and couch were comfortable and we all slept great. Perfect for a family of four with small loud children (no one below you and the main house is separate). The host was really nice and super responsive to any questions.

Amazing hosts, place, and location

Our hosts were wonderful and the property was so amazing (and accessible) that we ended up shelving one days activities to just spend time in the pool and playing wiffle ball in the beautiful yard.

Beautiful hidden gem

Not only was it easy to get to and close to everything, it’s tucked away on a private property at the end of a dead end street. It’s a beautiful cottage with an air conditioned garage to park / unload your car into. The newly added in ground pool was a hit with the kids. The hosts are on site but they don’t bother you, however the interaction I did have were welcomed and lovely. They baked fresh cookies for us and the house has everything you need! We’re planning our next trip back :) you won’t be disappointed.

Really Lovely!!

The first impression was that I LOVED the location. So close to the village but far enough from foot traffic. Quiet, dead end street, tucked in from the road, and a 30 second hop to the Northway. Super convenient! Everything inside looked new and clean, very thoughtfully laid out. We went with two other adults and we were not tripping over each other. Communicating with the owner was a breeze and she was very responsive to anything we may have wanted. We have been vacationing in this area for close to 50 years and have stayed in motels, hotels, campgrounds, inns and cabins. Not all were winners but that's OK, live and learn. This carriage house is one of the better places we've stayed. Reasonable, clean and you can surely see the pride in ownership. Highly recommend.

Beautiful Stay!

We will be back! We loved the home, it was very cozy, open, loved having a kitchen and so clean and nicely decorated. It looked brand new! The owners were so wonderful, we had wine & homemade cookies when we arrived and of course their 2 beautiful dogs greeted us and loved all of the attention! We have been to Lake George for many years. What I really liked was that we were only a couple minutes from downtown, but not in the middle of all of that craziness. The property is in a beautiful wooded neighborhood and so peaceful. It is close to the highway, but we didn't notice it at all. There are chairs outside, a fire pit, and we even parked our car in the garage. Thank you for a beautiful stay and hope to come back next August!

Beautiful carriage house in a lovely setting.

Lake George is an unbelievably gorgeous NY town and this rental added to the charm of our visit. The carriage house was well-appointed and clean with comfy furnishings and decor that complemented the setting. The carriage house is in a peaceful location surrounded by tall trees and adjacent to well-tended grounds and a matching house. Our hosts provided freshly baked cookies, which our children enjoyed and wine that we greatly appreciated! We all enjoyed our stay at beautiful Lake George.

Beautiful property and perfect location

Property location is great for being close to Lake George Village but far enough away to have some peace and quiet after a long day. Property is gorgeous. There is some construction going on in the lot behind the house, but sound was minimal. Owner provided us with use of the garage and a garage door opener, which was very nice. The bottles of wine and cookies that greeted us on arrival was a lovely touch. One of the AC vents faces straight into the main bedroom's bed, so you will be blasted with cool air in the face a few times each night, but that's just a small quibble. Overall, great spot, great place. Very recommended and we will return!

Hidden gem at the lake

This completely updated carriage house is in the best location ! 5 min for downtown lake George and close to the highways leading to everywhere you may want to go to . Rhonda’s cookies where the best , they were the most welcoming hosts ! So glad we stayed ! Already looking to come back in the winter !

Rhonda’s place is well appointed and comfortable. Everything you need is there and you can tell a lot of thought went into every detail. Neighborhood is peaceful and close to everything going on in Lake George. Does not disappoint!!

Perfect location - spacious

Rhonda is a gracious host and very accommodating. It was pouring when we arrived & we were able to park in the garage that’s below the living space. The Carriage House is much larger than it looks in pictures! Very clean and comfortable. Rhonda has it stocked with everything you would need. A quiet location but walkable to the village activities. A much better option than the many old motels in Lake George.
