L'Eight Point Lake comprende un varo pubblico accessibile in barca e viene rifornito ogni anno con pesce. Abbiamo anche un molo per legare la tua barca. Siamo a circa 2 miglia in bicicletta per il Pere Marquette Rail Trail che va da Midland a Baldwin, MI. Puoi anche andare in bicicletta o passeggiare per l'intero lago. Ci sono ristoranti nelle vicinanze e attività commerciali per comprare generi alimentari e necessità. Un banco di prodotti locali è disponibile anche durante la stagione di crescita.

Abbiamo molti campi da golf nella zona tra cui l'impegnativo Eagle Glen GC a soli 10 minuti di distanza. Mt. Piacevole è solo 30 miglia a sud dove ci sono ancora più campi da golf, ristoranti e altre attività. Contiene anche il Soaring Eagle Casino e tutti gli eventi ad esso associati. La Central Michigan University è anche una fonte di intrattenimento con eventi programmati durante tutto l'anno. Clare si trova a 20 minuti di distanza per altri ristoranti, panetterie e altri negozi di piccole città. I proprietari vivono nella stanza accanto se hai qualche domanda.

Relaxing stay

We brought our boat but didn't end up putting it in because the lake level was way down (the water was about ankle deep at the end of the dock). The property owners were diligent about offering solutions that would have allowed us to tie it off offshore, but we chose not to do so. Not putting the boat into the water turned out to be a good thing. We got the chance to just relax in the comfortable outdoor chairs sitting along the shoreline and a couple times by the fire (thanks for providing firewood (nice bonus)). We visited many of the local dives (I mean that in a good way) in some of the small towns nearby. Had some incredible meals and maybe one or two average ones! Having been to nearby areas before, we knew what to expect which is what really makes this part of Michigan so relaxing. The kitchen is modern and well stocked. There's even a Keurig now! A basting brush was about the only item we found missing for our needs (BBQ sauce (mmm)), The house is well appointed, but most the sofas and chairs were well past the sell-by date for comfort level (the padding is well worn out). However, as frequent renter I can say that this does seem to be almost always the case for furniture. Get out of the house, right? Good idea. A gas grill is provided. The hosts are next door and are super friendly, helpful and respectful of your privacy. It was a really relaxing experience.

Beautiful and spacious log cabin

This place was well stocked and clean. We had plenty of room to sleep and relax. The deck overlooking the lake was a favorite spot. If you wake up early the sun shines in and lights up the whole common area. It was beautiful.

Cabin was clean and cozy. Exactly what you picture when you say you want a cabin on the lake! We will be back! Thank you to the cotters they were amazing host! Water level was low but we made it work with our pontoon, as most Michigan lakes are right now.

Lovely Log Home on the Lake

We love this historic log cabin with a beautiful view of the lake. It is a relaxing spot for us but would also be a perfect place for an active family to enjoy water sports.

We had another great time at the lake! Denise is wonderful to work with and we love the cottage. The location is great and easy to find. The cabin is spacious with beautiful views and access to the lake. Look forward to returning next year.

Great stay

the cottage is very nice. We always bring items we need at other rentals. We found we did not need to. You will not find better location and access to all your needs while staying on Eight Point Lake. This by far was our best location, cottage, and great hosts. We highly recommend renting this cottage.

Lovely lake front log home

This was our 3rd summer visit and it did not disappoint. The spacious cabin is very clean, well supplied, and directly on a perfect lake for swimming, boating, or just relaxing. We highly recommend for a wonderful lakeside vacation.

Perfect for a family with young children

Nice shallow beach area for a long way out. Easy to keep track of young children. Cabin is very comfortable. Kitchen great for cooking or baking of any sort. Wish I could’ve stayed longer

Perfect Place on Eight Point Lake

This was either the third or fourth time we have stayed at the Cotter Cottage, and we enjoy it every time. This time was even better because the Cotter's suggested a local Golf Cart Company and we rented a golf cart for the week. So much fun!

Waterfront Gem

Ideal destination home for anyone just wanting to unplug. Home offers plenty of the essentials to enjoy your stay. Dock and water access was perfect for us to access our pontoon and spend the day on the lake and the sandbar. We hope to book again soon

Lovely lake house

We had a wonderful time staying at this lake house. Like many of the other guests had mentioned, it’s even better than the pictures. Several sitting areas inside to get out of the sun and play games. Comfortable beds and furniture. You will not be disappointed.

Lovely log home with a view

Family fun

This is our 2nd time coming as a family to the cottage and my kids loved it! We especially love the outdoor area. The water is shallow enough for the kids to play in (2 and 5 years old). The cottage, including the kitchen was stocked, and had everything we needed. We loved our getaway and had a great time! My son already can't wait to go back!
