The unit has a beautiful view overlooking the lake. It’s very private and quiet making for a peaceful stay. The kitchen is well equipped and the beds comfortable. The listing shows a couple of exterior stairways and states that it’s all on one floor so easily accessible which is misleading. There are in fact seven sets of stairs for a total of 58 stairs to climb in order to come and go from the unit. The stairs are slippery when it rains since they are in need of pressure washing. Carrying luggage and groceries is quite a chore. I do not recommend this situation for elderly folks or families with small children. The unit is in need of a deep cleaning. The corners, baseboards, blinds, and window sills need to be consistently dusted. The cabinet shelves and light rail around the bottom need to be cleaned and wiped down often. The blankets and bedspreads need to be washed between each guest. There needs to be a mattress pad on the master bed. The tub is very slick. The ceiling fan in the bedroom does not work. The disposal isn’t to be used. There are building materials sitting on the lawn outside which look like they have been there for a while. Vacassa needs to make certain enough towels and bedding is left in the unit. We didn’t have a fitted sheet for the sofa sleeper and only one hand towel. They did bring us another hand towel after we requested one. We liked the little house and enjoyed our stay in spite of the things mentioned above. Not sure we’d return.
