“It was a good location. That's why we chose it. But it was very "bare bones." The soap/shampoo in the shower was awful. There was a smell of smoke even though I thought we had a non smoking room. And when we woke up there was no hot water. It was remedied after my husband went to speak to the front desk. I would say the bathroom.waa clean but the shower has mold in it.”

“Upon entering the room I smelled a strong smell of urine. I immediately started looking for another hotel online, but they were all booked up. My husband suggested getting air freshener but that would just cover up the filth. I walked to the gas station and got a bottle of 409 and paper towels. I cleaned the floor by the toilet and my towel came up BLACK. I proceeded to clean the entire floor and it apparently hadn’t been properly cleaned in a while. The smell improved but not much. “The property was beautiful. Very whimsical and cute. The parking was terrible. On the website it said there was street parking but they did not tell us that the entire street would be blocked off and there would be no parking due to a street festival that was taking place the next day. So we had to park a couple of blocks away. We chose the Cherry Room in the Black Barn which looked lovely but the pictures make it look bigger than it is. “This is really a jewel, our room was amazing, very big, clean, and welcoming. When you enter in the Rigdon House you feel at home. We organized with the personnel our late check-in and we found all we needed once we arrived (keys, documents, and even a map). We really loved our stay here!”

“First off, check-in was weird. The owner told us a power outage a few days ago wiped out his key card machine, so he couldn't give us keys because replacement was still on order, that we'd have to just find him and he'd let us in to our room. Don't really understand how temporarily losing power destroys a machine like that, I hope its legitimately short term but just started off the experience creepy wondering if he's one of those nosy micromanaging owners who wants to spy on everyone etc. The...
