“Easy on/off the interstate. Property is spacious, clean, and seems to be new. There is a gas station nearby with a car wash. Enjoyed having lunch at The Poke Bowl across the front parking lot (great restaurant, FRESH ahi tuna!). Breakfast foods were varied and better than many free hotel breakfasts. Check-in was quick and Shiloh was very kind, which I appreciated after 9 hours of driving.”

“Homewood Suites is in the perfect location near the university. It was clean, had plenty of space, and they had a simple, but nice breakfast. We had to ask for extra sheets and a blanket for the pull out sofa. It was delivered promptly and the person who delivered it was professional. Highly recommend!”

“Went to see UIUC campus and stopped here for the night. It was quieter because we came in July, and that might make a difference at other times, but this place was really convenient and our room was a good size. I didn’t think much of the pool but I had no time to use it anyway. Right next to campus. ”

“The room was ok, then cleaners came only once during our stay. She was rude. She didn’t clean the shower at all. She didn’t replace the toilet paper roll even though it had finished and she didn’t clean the table despite me asking her. The tea mug had lipstick stain on them.”

“This is a great option for independent-minded travelers who want something clean and spacious near the university. There is not much in the way of front desk staff but they communicated smoothly about check in and check out. There is an excellent bakery downstairs on the premises. The kitchen is stocked with basic pots, pans, utensils, etc. Tons of space. There is a bit of street noise as the property is at a busy intersection, so bring your earplugs just in case. Overall, good value.”

“We had a very pleasant evening and morning at the Candlewood. Exactly what we needed: microwave to heat up dinner and coffee in the morning in the room. Countertops were nice in bathroom and kitchenette, big refrigerator and dishwasher. Better than average some cotton sheets! Staff very friendly and heloful. ”

“It was amazing until the receptionist told me I couldn’t take my children swimming she said it was only 4 allowed in the pool I didn’t understand I have 5 children plus me I rented a one bedroom suites which sleeps 5 I only had 2 extra with one being autistic and the other a baby didn’t see why me and the others couldn’t swim so with that I give this stay bad comments with customer service my children cried I had to pay extra to take them to an aquatic center ”

“Hotel room was even nicer and more spacious than online pictures. Bathroom was great with all the Dove products to use. I didn’t even have to unpack the stuff I brought. Needed a microwave and they brought one right up to the room. Plenty of eating options within walking distance. Only thing I would suggest is when you check in make sure to find out where to park. It is across the road but super close and plenty of spots. Would definitely stay again!! ”
