Vacanze Lake St. Croix Beach

Staff woke us up at 11:30 PM by calling and then knocking at our door claiming some other guest had charged that “loud noises” were coming from our room. The lazy, unkempt, unprofessional night desk clerk should have come to our floor and determined for himself that this claim of loud noises was true or untrue. Instead he called and when I didn’t pickup quickly enough he knocked on our door a few minutes later. He did not look like an employee of a hotel. Shirt was wrinkled and not tucked in, no badge or identifier that he was an employee, jeans and funky shoes. He mumbled and was had to understand. My immediate thought was this was some kind of crimnal gang that he was the lead criminal trying to enter our room. If he had any common sense, when he did not hear loud noises he shouldn’t have even knocked on our door. Hence, we had a hard time going back to sleep. We are in our mid 70s and this was elder abuse from a hotel staff that we had the pleasure of paying for.

One night stay while traveling to Minnesota from Pennsylvania to move our daughter out for graduate school. The room was very clean and comfortable. Painted in soft, welcoming color. No dirty or peeling caulk around the tub, toilet, or sink areas. Attention to details like one firm and one soft pillow so both my husband and I were happy. The window curtains were patterned/stripped - not just boring beige. The desk attendant suggested JJ's Clubhouse restaurant next store so we walked over and were very pleased with our dinner of pizza, nachos, and cold beer made even better by happening to be there on trivia night. Only suggestion would be a door handle sign to indicate "room available for cleaning" upon checkout to avoid the 8am knock on our door while we were still sleeping (3 hours before 11am checkout). Overall very satisfied with the quality received and the price paid.

The bed, pillows and bedding were very comfortable!!
