B&B a Lake Tekapo

“This is a hostel even though Expedia doesn’t call it a hostel. If you re getting a private room you are subsidizing the people sleeping in bunk rooms and you are overpaying. Our room was listed as a king bed but it was not. There was no drawers or places to put your clothes or your suitcase. Our room was insanely overpriced for what was effectively a 10’x 10’ room with no place to put anything.”

“nice place”

“This was our favorite stay in NZ! We were in the Tekapo room with direct views of the gorgeous turquoise lake, mountains, and Church of the Good Shepherd. We enjoyed coffee in the morning and wine at nigh, sitting on our private patio overlooking the lake. The room is fabulously appointed - very eclectic! It literally took 2 minutes to walk to the city center then down to the lake. We had a toaster, microwave and fridge - all we needed to enjoy a quick breakfast or afternoon snack. Really...

“Very clean. There is a tiny view of the lake and you are one house off the main road so it’s noisy on the deck. The mountains are pretty but, Looks much more like there is a big view than there is. ”

“We had a really lovely stay in Tekapo. The place was clean, cozy, and very comfortable, and everything we needed was well prepared. The kitchen is well equipped.”

“Our family had a poor experience at this property. There were several safety issues (a low smoke detector battery that managment should have noticed and addressed before occupancy, and an electrical switch sparked when engaged (!)), the whole unit needs a deep clean, and there is a fair amount of road noise from the nearby main road. Management's communications were either repetitive or conflicting, and they asked us to check out 2 hours early at 9 AM for their convenience. This rental is not...

“We stayed at Crystal Water Ohana as a family with our three adult children and really enjoyed our stay. It is a beautiful, luxurious new home — very clean, comfortable, and actually felt even more spacious than it looked in the photos. All the heaters worked really well, which we especially appreciated as we were visiting towards the end of winter. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything we needed. We actually cooked two meals at the house during our stay, and it was very convenient...

“This property is fabulous, apartment is fantastic with everything you need and a few little extra touches. The view of Lake Tekapo is impressive you can sit on the balcony or in the lounge room and look straight out to the lake and snow capped mountains, room is very spacious, clean and comfortable and staff are lovely, would highly recommend staying here.”

“Was set in a quiet street with a short walking distance to Township. The room was spacious and clean. And was well equipped. Would stay again”

“After a long journey, arrived to a room that had not been cleaned from last guests. Called owner to complain and he offered us the room next door which was prepared fro new guests. We accepted but felt the room wasn’t as clean as it should be. We asked for a discount but was refused. I felt it was overpriced. ”
