Breathtaking Lakeview - Clean, Cozy, Deck, Kayaks - Shasta Lakeshore Retreat #9

  • SHASTA LAKESHORE RETREAT #9. This home is one of the 19 fine lake homes part of the Shasta Lakeshore Retreat collection supporting up to 235 guests.



    Retreat #9 is cozy beautiful home with natural wood and ceilings. Warm, clean retreat with great views of the lake and mountains. Lots of windows, open and rich wood flooring. The large deck looks out at the lake. The property is only about 100 feet from the lake when the lake is full.



    The deck includes a gas BBQ, heat lamp, gas fire pit and lots of sitting to enjoy the lake. The home features a open kitchen and common area that looks out at the lake on two sides. The deck wraps around two sides of the house for great views. Please note that this home does require the use of stairs to get to the living area.



    Retreat 9 has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The home has great views. It is just set back a little with a trail down to the water for your use.



    If you have a larger party, Retreat 4 and Retreat 8 are directly next door with Retreat 1, 2, 3, 5, 10 and 17 are very close. Nine of the ten homes on this street are Shasta Lakeshore Retreat Vacation Rentals able to lodge over 100 guests.



    This home has air conditioning and heating. There is good Truck/Boat/Car/ATV Parking on good sized driveway and area in front of the home. No Rv'S or Campers.



    - Sugarloaf Boat County Boat Ramp is close by. The marina location and moorage availability is dependent on lake level.



    - Shoreline anchor also available. Use caution.



    - Majority of boaters choose Shasta as their favorite Lake in California! Warm water during summer, many fingers to ski/board with calm water, massive dam, fishing everywhere, and multiple marinas to fuel the boat. Over 365 miles of shoreline to explore. Most shoreline in California.



    - Plenty of relaxing time to view wildlife from the deck while you have a cup of coffee in the morning or favorite drinks in the evening.



    - Multiple forest service country roads for ATV's and hiking to explore close by. Bring your ATVs!

    *IMPORTANT: Check Lake Level on our website for info and photos or Contact us for the latest updates. Although most of our guests still have a great time at any water level, we want to make sure you understand the dynamics of this reservoir. The lake may or may not fill up any given year but we will keep guests updated and offer a full refund up to 60 days before arrival if any guest has concerns on water level. If the lake drops below 140' down, this starts to impact the availability of the local boat ramp and marina requiring travel to another part of the lake. Again, see our website for the latest info and photos of lake at different levels. Forest Fires are also common in Northern California which may blow smoke in the area during the summer and fall. Guest with health concerns or worry about air quality should avoid visiting Northern California during the peak summer seasons. Check our website for current conditions and weather alerts.

The hosts were easy to communicate with. The house was lovely with a great view. The paddle boards and kayaks included with the rental property made it easy to go play I. The water. Very smooth rental with clear instructions.

Amazing Stay at Our Favorite Lake!

We had the most amazing stay at Shasta Lakeshore Resort 4th of July week. Our family has been visiting Lake Shasta since I was a child, from camping to houseboat trips, so this area is very special to us. The house exceeded our expectations—it was updated, well-appointed, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Communication was perfect, with clear directions and everything we needed to know before and during our visit. It’s clear the owners and property management truly care, and their dedication shows in every detail. We can’t wait to come back!

What a Gem!!!

This property was absolutely perfect for our family in every way. Comfortable beds open layout in the kitchen and living room, I actually slept better here than in my own bed and I can’t say that about anywhere else I’ve stayed. The deck was absolutely perfect with great views. The area is also perfect, store is close by with everything you need and you can rent any water equipment you need right there. Cant wait to come back!!

Excellent property we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. It was relaxing, didn’t want to leave. Dave and Lori are excellent hosts just a phone call away. All the properties are excellent we rented 3 homes. Will definitely come back again.

We loved the cute home. It was clean,cute and the location was perfect. The view from the deck was beautiful and we were able to enjoy the view on the deck when we weren’t on the lake. We can’t wait to revisit next year.

Excellent Cabin

Excellent cabin to stay at just make sure you have four-wheel-drive to get up the driveway if it’s raining or snowing.

A Bit of Haven!

This is our second time staying in this lovely cabin. It is cozy, clean, well-stocked and charmingly decorated and remodeled. We loved our time on the deck relaxing, reading, eating, and playing games. The view from the house and deck are stunning, especially with our morning coffee. Stargazing was an added bonus. And so grateful to be so close to the marina where we docked our boat. Can't wait to return to this Haven!

Amazing trip!

This was my 3rd time staying with Shasta Lakeshore Retreats and was once again a hit! Always great being that close to the water and the houses are very well kept. We'll be back in the future!

Tranquil retreat

This is a beautiful property, close to the water. The whole block is rentals through the same company so you can coordinate a retreat for a large group. Each home has plenty of sleeping areas, full kitchen, and water toys. Highly recommend.

Beautiful cabin

My family and I had such a great trip! The cabin was clean and absolutely beautiful inside. Lori was very accommodating and responsive to any questions I had before we arrived and during our stay! We are already looking at dates for a future trip. Highly recommend!

Retreat #9

This property was definitely as described. We arrived to a clean and warm house. The kitchen was full of all the things to make meals during the stay. Awesome view of the lake from the living room and decks. The hosts were awesome and were ready if we needed them. We woke up during the stay to a visit from the snow which for even better views of the area. All in all this place has everything you would need for your stay and to keep you occupied while there. We will definitely be coming back.

Wonderful home, location and great communication with hosts!

When we arrived, the house was extremely clean and well-organized. The living room is nice and open, and the front deck area is also perfect for gathering for meals. The BBQ an hammock were also a hit. The bedrooms were so well appointed, and the beds were super comfortable. Each bedroom having a bathroom right nearby was perfect for everyone. The A/C's worked fantastic when needed. The kids loved the canoe's, and we bought some blow-up floaties for playing in the water near the house. I also suggest renting a speed boat for the day and tubing with the kids, that was a big hit for this location as well. The kitchen was well-equipped (we do home-cooking!) and came with all the dishware/cookware we needed. Bring your own spices beyond salt & pepper and anything at all for food storage. Hosts were so accommodating, and we felt VERY at home in this beautiful house and location!

Best place to stay on the water at Shasta

This property and Lori who I communicated with were amazing! The house is at the end of a court with Great views of the lake and also your boat if you keep it at Sugarloaf marina. When the later level is high you can almost swim just feet away from the court. We went up for Labor Day weekend so pretty much at the end of the season, water level was down but had not much impact on use. The shoreline here is nice with multiple walking paths down to the water where a nice small 5mph cove is, great for shoreline fun and swimming for the kids. This house has a wrap around porch and a side sitting area as well. Waking up in the mornings and having coffee there for multiple hours was so peaceful and relaxing. I can't emphasize enough how great and amazing this house is and how well it is setup. Can accommodate 2 families with 2 kids perfectly as one of the bedrooms had double bunk beds setup for 4 children. The other 2 rooms had queen beds and bathrooms attached so perfect for the parents. Lori had mentioned to me about some waterfalls and cool hiking spots on the lake, we researched it and found them. Definitely worth the hike up to them, my kids had a blast doing it. This was our first time up at Shasta Lake and we are already talking about next year and going back up. We are going to book this house again as it was perfect for our family of 4 with plenty of room and perfect location. I would HIGHLY recommend this house to anyone looking to go up to Shasta for a family trip!

Wonderful lake access and views

We stayed at Retreat 9 recently and had a fun and relaxing stay. The house had everything we could have wanted and more. The deck had amazing views, comfortable seating with enough room for everyone. There was a propane fire pit on the deck for evening deck lounging and ample shade during the day with an umbrella and shade from the roof. There was a hammock in the yard that fit two and a seating area with a propane heater nearby. The house had everything we could have wanted in the kitchen, living room and bedrooms. The house was exceptionally clean and outdoor areas were well organized. It felt secluded being at the end of the street with enough parking out front for our truck and boat trailer. The kids played monopoly almost everyday and Roku for the tvs. Plus books, magazines and guides for things to do in the area. There was a path created to the lake which we easily carried our paddle boards down. We were able to tie our boat in the cove to a log that someone tied up to give us easy access. We walked down the log and got into the back of the boat. We didn’t even get our feet wet. There were Kayaks to use also provided by the hosts. The cove out front was a perfect place to float, kayak, paddle board, and lounge around. The lake was beautiful, neighbors were nice, and we love the town of Lakehead for anything we need during our stay. We launched our boat next door at Sugarloaf Marina and the ladies there were also very friendly. Lori was available to answer any of our questions and came by to say hi while we were unpacking our truck on arrival which made us feel well taken care of and welcomed to her house as she was staying a few houses down. The attention to detail, kindness, and communication is spot on. The house is up a steep driveway and a flight of stairs. It didn’t bother us, but might be difficult for those with mobility issues. I felt this was clearly outlined on the website and not a negative for us, as the views from that high were enjoyable. Each retreat has it own special amenity. I think being that high up provided spectacular views. We can’t wait to plan our next trip back.
