Bizarre Property w/questionable maintenance crew

Odd combo of a few positives mixed w/negatives. Positives- check-in was easy & the house has very comfortable beds. The downfall of this property begins w/the neighborhood. Not the best area. The front window of the home does not lock. There is no vent fan in the bathroom, so you have to open the window when you shower. The bathroom, kitchen & 1 bedroom window look into the portion of the property that is a separate rental. Uncomfortable to have an open window when strangers are sitting outside the window. Oddly few towels provided. The 1st day we couldn’t find the towels. Messaged the owner who insisted they left towels on each bed. We eventually found 1 towel in each closet & 2 washcloths in a box in the laundry room. On our 3rd day, I was showering when the maintenance crew came to the house wanting photos to prove towels were there. They walked in on me while I was showering & tried to take photos. My husband had to remove them from the bathroom. The owner did apologize, however this is unacceptable behavior. They did at least leave us more towels. The photos of this home are deceptive. The home is older & has been updated in a sloppy way. Parts of it were clean while other parts were not. The backyard feels like a crime scene and is not a relaxing place to hang out. Overall, a difficult one to rate. Owner was nice enough but for the we paid, not worth it and the maintenance crew probably needs to be replaced.
