Arredato con oggetti d'antiquariato, biancheria di qualità e articoli da toeletta, l'Agriturismo Ampherlaw è tutto per fuggire dalla tua vita frenetica. Ti sentirai così rilassato che non vorrai più andartene! Rannicchiati accanto alla stufa a legna su sedie a sdraio e goditi il panorama, oppure esplora la vicina Edimburgo, Glasgow e Borders. Le camere dalle proporzioni generose comprendono un'enorme camera da letto, che incorpora una stufa a legna e una zona salotto con sedie con focolare; l'ampio bagno privato è dotato di vasca, doccia a soffitto e doccia a telefono ed è dotato di accappatoi e soffici asciugamani bianchi. La sala da pranzo gode di vista su Tinto Hill (una bella giornata fuori) ed è arredata con mobili antichi. Le porte-finestre si aprono sul patio dove è possibile sedersi e godersi un barbecue. We lovd the beautiful countryside and the rural walks. Close to charming little towns and we also hiked the historic Clyde waterfalls. Our hosts were very lovely and accommodating, wish we could have gotten to know them more. Better than their humble photos portray.

We had one of our most wonderful holidays in Scotland in this beautiful cottage. The check-in process was smooth, and the hosts gave us such a warm welcome – they are truly lovely people. The house and the location are stunning – it’s a place where you immediately feel at home. After many day trips, it was always so nice to know that we could return to this cosy and charming cottage. We would love to come back and can wholeheartedly recommend it!

This is a very lovely little cottage. It is far enough away from town to feel peaceful, but close enough to make going into town easy. The folks in the nearest town of Carnwath were very pleasant and welcoming. The only issue we had was initially finding the right drive entrance, but that was more due to it already getting dark when we arrived. We highly recommend this place.

Like last year, cottage was so cozy and environment is so peaceful. We enjoyed our stay at this warm house. All those vintage interoir fits perfect as well as the owners. Everything just is so helpful relaxing there.

The stay at Ampherlaw was just amazing. The farmhouse was spotlessly clean, had all amenities and heating. Every thought was given to our comfort and directions with check-in instructions were easy to follow. My partner and I would definitely stay again as the perfect retreat to the peaceful countryside.

One of the best stays i've had, beautiful location and the hosts were very friendly. Inside the stay itself was nice and warm perfect for the cold november nights. The bedroom was very cosy with the log burner and armchairs, it felt very homely. It was easy to nip to Edinburgh for the day from here aswell. It was perfect

this cottage is lovely. The surrounding countryside is beautiful. But the room containing the sitting area/bedroom was uncomfortably cold. REALLY cold. The wood burner stove was prepped for a fire on my arrival and a basket of wood was at my disposal. But I needed a fire nearly every night after returning from a day of touring and the basket quickly emptied. A "helpful hints" list was provided by the hosts which indicated addiitional wood was available for purchase from them. When I approached the male host about more wood, he replied the cottage "is listed as self-catering". I was on my own for wood. His tone was such that I knew not to pursue the issue or any OTHER issue that might arise. BTW, most of the nights were below freezing. On the other hand, the female host was very cooperative--except she seemed to be around less of the time than the male host. I booked for two weeks and packed clothing with the intention of being able do laundry...but the clothes washer didn't function properly and no manual was available for it--although all the other kitchen appliances did have manuals available. Found myself getting online to determine the error code flashing on the washer (not found) and resorted to air drying my clothes. Adding to the coldness of the cottage was a bathroom heater fan that did not function when applying the instructions from the "helpful hints". Began to feel: they had my full payment for two weeks and were trying to force me out (freeze me out?).

Beautifully appointed, everything you could wish for, Cass was very welcoming and although about half an hour from Edinburgh it was a pleasure to go out and have the cottage to return to and relax.

My wife and i were impressed with the attention to detail and the ambience of this property. Beautiful, serene, and quiet. We highly recommend you spend at least 3 nights to really appreciate it. Loved the owners and cannot express how much we enjoyed our stay. A true 5 star property!

We had a wonderful stay at Ampherlaw farmhouse, we hihgly recommend this cottage. Surounded by nature and Edinburgh near by. Just stunning. The houses is furnished with so much love, it felt like a home.

The cottage is of high standard, extremely clean and well equipped, good parking close to the cottage, very quiet, within 50 mins car trip to either Glasgow or Edinburgh. If you need a restful break this is the accommodation for you.

After a friendly welcome we ended up in a cottage that looked spacious and fully equipped and enjoyed that was big enough for the two of us .. definitely recommend to stay for a few days because of the central location, this stay is definitely worth repeating, we had a great time ... with kind regards from Ton and Jeanne from the Netherlands..

A quiet and beautifully spacious farmhouse with all the luxurious amenities! Upon my arrival, the wood stove was already stocked and ready to be lit. A heated drying rack with fluffy towels, bathrobes, and luxurious soaps in the bathroom—perfect after a long day of driving! All the kitchen amenities for cooking & cleaning including tablets for my laundry! Beautiful and tasteful décor. Cass & Charlie are such wonderful people and v. attentive hosts. The suggested 20 mins drive to Falls of Clyde is a lovely picturesque spot for a picnic and not a difficult trek by any means to stretch your legs. A really truly pampered stay in Scotland.
