  • Benvenuti nel nostro cottage in campagna! Goditi un soggiorno in una casa del XIX secolo situata in una piccola fattoria. Rilassati sui bilancieri sulla veranda anteriore con vista sugli animali della fattoria e sulla fauna selvatica. Appena entrati nella porta principale avrete una pianta aperta su una zona giorno che ha una TV a schermo piatto con antenna digitale, lettore DVD, camino e comodi posti a sedere. C'è una stanza di polvere per comodità. Se ti piace la musica, c'è una radio con lettore CD e giradischi. La cucina ha tutto ciò di cui hai bisogno: isola con lavandino, cassetto per lavastoviglie e posti a sedere per 2, grande frigorifero, fornello a gas commerciale e cappa, forno a microonde, caffettiera, tostapane, tutti gli utensili da cucina e tutto il necessario. Se ti piace cucinare fuori c'è una griglia a gas sul ponte. Rilassati nella sala protetta con pranzo per 2 o leggi un libro o fai un pisolino sul letto sospeso. La camera da letto e il bagno principale sono al secondo piano. Nella camera da letto c'è un letto matrimoniale, comodini, luci di lettura, cassettiera, armadio, TV a schermo piatto con antenne digitali, area salotto e libri da leggere. L'ampio bagno ha una doccia piastrellata, vanità, specchio e servizi igienici. Tutte le lenzuola e gli asciugamani sono forniti. La casa è tenuta a suo agio con HVAC. WIFI è fornito. Per i tuoi quattro zampe forniamo una fodera per divano, ciotole e prelibatezze naturali. La nostra casa non può ospitare bambini. A perfect getaway

My husband and I stayed here for a weekend getaway. It was very relaxing and quiet, but close to anything we wanted to do. We loved the hanging bed for reading and afternoon napping! Overall a fantastic stay

Peaceful

Lovely cottage in a peaceful setting. Although we didn’t spend much time there it was a nice place to retreat to after the busy days with family. The personal touches added to the charm and pleasant experience.

Love this property

I've stayed with Carol twice and love this little farm. It's quiet and lovely and her properties are beautifully decorated. She's very responsive to texts and communication and has everything ready for guests :)

Cottage was so cozy and nice. Loved setting on screen porch and relaxing. Our Hosts Carol and Pete were great to visit with and the scones they brought us were amazing.

Beautiful Cottage

If you are looking a property in Lancaster, please consider this beautiful cottage! This cottage is located in a peaceful and quiet location. It is also located on a farm for you enjoy. Carol and Pete, the property owners were the best ever and made me feel right at home. I hope to have opportunity to stay in the cottage again!

An Absolute Dream

To say this was one of the most relaxing, beautiful and serene experiences would be an understatement. The cottage was perfect… clean, exquisitely decorated and setup with everything I needed for a peaceful and enjoyable stay. And the scones… most delicious I’ve ever had! Not to mention the animals were a delightful addition. I didn’t want to leave! The hosts were more than accommodating and a joy to work with. I will absolutely come back to this little slice of tranquility!

Cozy stay in a beautiful area!

Wow, what a wonderful experience that we had staying at this property. Take a look at the pictures, it really is just as amazing as it looks. It has plenty of room to spread out, an amazing kitchen, incredible ambiance, and plenty of spots to sit and relax and watch the chickens. The hosts were very kind and helpful, and made sure we had everything that we needed. Hope to be back soon!

Country stay

This property is a slice of heaven. Carol gave exact directions & easy keypad check in. The house is very cozy, extremely clean The kitchen is well equipped & farm fresh eggs in the fridge. The farm animals kept our dogs entertained and the fenced in yard for our dogs was great. A front porch with rockers to sit & enjoy your morning coffee or tea with a scone was very serene. The owners Carol & Pete are so kind and brought fresh homemade warm scones which were so delicious. We had a very relaxing stay just what we needed to recharge.

Wonderful!

This was by far one of our best experiences with a vacation rental! The home was immaculate, well-equipped, and comfortable. We were welcomed with delicious scones, a bouquet of roses, and treats for our pups. In the mornings, we were greeted by the farm animals, which was definitely a highlight of our stay! We loved meeting and chatting with the extremely kind owners. If you’re looking for a cozy getaway with all the charm of country life, this is the place to go. We will be back!

A Truly Perfect Getaway in the Country

We’ve stayed at a lot of great VRBO properties but this one ranks at the top! The homeowners were perfect hosts welcoming us to their beautiful home. The scones they made for us were incredible! It is evident that a lot of planning and expense went into making the Fairview a place where you truly feel at home. The kitchen has everything a cook would desire! Sitting outside watching the chickens, roosters, donkeys and Ferrari, the emu, was quite an enjoyable experience for us since we come from the city! Last year we stayed at their other property, the Mod Pod which was totally different but also wonderful. We will be returning to visit their next property, the Bird House, and again enjoying their wonderful hospitality.

Bucolic Setting, One of a Kind Historic Cottage!!

We were looking for a home to rent, with our dog, for a week while we were visiting Lancaster County. We were attending a nearby concert and planning some historic sightseeing. This cottage exceeded our expectations more than we could have imagined. After corresponding with the very accommodating hosts and owners, Pete and Carol, everything was in place. Upon arrival we drove down a long driveway, past some farm buildings and found the cottage around the corner and were very excited. Inside we found fresh baked scones (delicious each morning with coffee), fresh eggs, a bouquet of fresh flowers, and dog bowls and treats. Pete and Carol have lovingly restored the 19th century cottage, including modern conveniences that blend in beautifully. It was quite warm and the indoor AC was a life saver, if you weren’t sitting on the front porch with a breeze. The most amazing surprise that was recently added was a large screened porch connected to bbq deck. It had a high table and chairs, lights, and a ceiling fan over, wait for it, a large hanging bed suspended to the ceiling!! I spent much time resting or reading there and when there was a thunderstorm the rain was very soothing. The large front lawn is completely fenced in. To the left is a field and hill where you can see donkeys grazing, emus, and chickens and roosters, who were quite amusing. Once on top of the driveway we saw the cows coming home! Columbia was a perfect location for many sightseeing options close by, from Amish life, an historic train ride, part of the Mason-Dixon line, the Susquehanna River, and my favorite the Susanna Wright house where she hosted some of the day’s most famous thinkers, including Benjamin Franklin. The house is one of the most historically accurate buildings from that time. Pete and Carol were very cool and interesting to talk with and learn some history about the cottage and surrounding country. We felt like friends by the time we left. But they also gave you all the privacy you needed. Thank you Carol and Pete and Bella for sharing your home and farm with us! Next Lancaster trip we know where we will be staying. Amazing stay

Pete and Carol were excellent hosts that provided everything we could need. The home was beautiful and clean. We really enjoyed the peaceful setting and waking up to cute farm animals in the morning. We hope to travel again to this area just to stay again. Being welcomed with warm scones and fresh eggs foreshadowed a perfect stay.

Nice getaway cottage

Cottage was nicely decorated. Lovely gourmet kitchen, and all the comforts of home. Delicious blueberry scones and fresh farm eggs were greatly appreciated and enjoyed.

A Country Treat in Lancaster County

We felt a friendliness from the owners immediately on arrival. Warm scones and fresh eggs in the refrigerator - what's not to like. Also would have to give a superior grade for cleanliness. A little bit of whimsy with the swaying porch bed (don't worry - the upstairs bedroom has a "normal" bed) and another added extra comes from watching the emus, donkeys and chickens. The kitchen is well-equipped but unfortunately we were too busy to take advantage of it. Because my husband is very light sensitive, he would have preferred room darkening curtains rather than light-filtering in the bedroom. It was great for me because I love waking to some lightness and can never do so at home. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it if you are in the Lancaster/Columbia area.

Perfect, Perfect, Perfect!

We LOVED every single aspect of this home. It is minimalistic, but they choices for each piece of furniture, furnishings, construction of the house A+++. There was nothing wrong with our stay at all. Our hosts were wonderful and so very helpful and sweet. We loved the fresh scones, fresh eggs, and hospitality and kindness. We will definetly be back to enjoy it all, not to forget to mention our friends the chickens, roosters, emus and donkeys. It made our stay so wonderful! Stay, you will not be disappointed!

Wonderful Stay

October Getaway

Property was great. Professionally, fully renovated mid 1800's house. More than enough for two people. Lots of charm. It is very close to the next rental, which would be nice to know up front if you are looking for more privacy. Outdoor grilles and gas fire-ring were fun and new. Farmette pasture right up to property, but was fun with the animals, especially the most friendly Emu. Was an excellent location to explore all of the Amish countryside. Backroads to get around busy Rt# 30 were easy to learn and GPS routed us perfectly everywhere. Host were very nice.
