The Kassita is a thoughtfully designed modern Mediterranean retreat where clean architectural lines meet warm, organic materials. Plaster walls, white oak cabinetry, and layered textiles create a calming, tactile environment that feels both elevated and grounded. Natural light pours in through expansive openings, shifting beautifully throughout the day and reflecting soft desert tones across every surface. The home feels airy and open, yet deeply intimate - crafted for slowing down, reconnecting, and experiencing the desert in a more intentional way.

The outdoor space feels expansive and immersive, surrounded by mountain views and endless sky. The saltwater pool and spa evoke a Mykonos-inspired atmosphere, positioned perfectly to take in sweeping desert vistas. Built-in firepit seating invites long evenings under the stars, while the outdoor living room features a sculptural propane fireplace, plush seating, and overhead heaters for year-round comfort. A shaded dining area and BBQ create an ideal setting for slow meals outdoors, while multiple lounge areas allow you to follow the sun or retreat into shade throughout the day. As evening falls, the desert reveals its magic - cool breezes, glowing sunsets, and a sky filled with stars.

The living room is warm, grounded, and inviting, centered around a built-in sectional designed for gathering and unwinding. A sleek fireplace adjacent to the sectional adds a soft glow in the evenings, while a large smart TV and integrated Sonos sound system create a cozy yet elevated entertainment experience. Large doors open directly to the patio, allowing meals to flow easily outdoors. Outdoor dining and a BBQ area extend the experience, making it just as enjoyable to cook and dine under the open sky.

Each bedroom at The Kassita is designed as a private retreat, with soft textures, calming tones, and a sense of quiet luxury throughout. The primary suite features a king bed, a spacious built-in closet, and a spa-inspired ensuite with a soaking tub, large walk-in shower, and double vanity. A private patio extends from the suite, complete with an outdoor shower for a truly immersive desert experience. The second bedroom also offers a king bed, along with its own private patio and outdoor shower. It has direct access to a beautifully designed hallway bathroom. The third bedroom features a queen bed and a private ensuite bathroom, offering comfort and privacy for additional guests. All bathrooms are thoughtfully finished with elevated plaster built-ins and a clean, earthy aesthetic that enhances the home’s serene, spa-like atmosphere.

A short 8-minute drive brings you to some of the area’s most beloved culinary destinations, including La Copine, known for its elevated, seasonal desert cuisine, and Giant Rock Meeting Room, a laid-back gathering spot serving wood-fired pizza, natural wines, and craft cocktails in a beautifully designed space. Joshua Tree National Park is also within easy reach, where you can explore iconic rock formations, hike scenic trails, and experience some of the most breathtaking desert landscapes in California. The entire house and property are yours to enjoy! Please note that there are a few supply closets that are locked that house supplies for the rental.



The Neighborhood:

The Kassita is situated in Landers, this is beautiful but very remote living, so please note that we are a good distance from town - about 20 minutes from the nearest grocery store. This is truly where you get to escape and enjoy the solitude of the desert. All homes in this area are on acreage, giving guests wide open space and privacy.

Getting Around:

A personal vehicle is necessary to get around in this area - rideshare apps are not guaranteed.



Please note that The Kassita is in a remote location, and the last 0.2 miles to the home are dirt roads, so please take it slow. The dirt roads are maintained, and a four-wheel drive car is not necessary, but please note that the dirt road conditions vary and may have bumps and ruts, particularly after rainstorms.
