1. A 'welcome booklet' explaining the rules of the house and general information regarding rubbish collection; cleaning; local amenities; restaurants, etc. should be provided. This booklet should be sent to the guest a couple of days prior to their arrival, along with directions on how to reach the property and details of access; internet connection; point or person to contact in case of need.2. On our arrival, there was no internet available and as an up grade had to be purchased, it was obviously an on-going problem. This took several days to sort out.3. Due to some internal battle between the site managers/owners and yourself, our water kept being cut off and my fellow guests were threatened by two people in the garden, trying to turn off the water yet again. This was slightly scary and highly inconvenient to lose water.4. The bottom of the stairs would benefit from a bannister rail. This would have prevented one of your guests falling down the stairs, resulting in a visit to the hospital and ten days on crutches.5. When we had water, the upstairs showers were impossible to regulate and scalding hot. Very dangerous for a child.6. Due to excessive amounts of rainfall, the area flooded. However, our property was the only one to flood throughout the ground floor to the depth of around 5cm.This was in the middle of the night and, while rescuing our belongings, and attempting to sweep out some of the water, I fell, face down onto the tiles suffering a cracked skull.
