We think you could have known from the descriptions what the room would be like, and a lot of people enjoy lying on the bed and looking directly into the mountains. But of course the room is very small. And as you are not the first one not to like it, we decided not to rent it via Expedia anymore.

Dear Joelit is a long time ago, but I wanted to come back to your poor rating. I would qualify it as a typical revenge rating and therefore we think it is more than unfair. You were unhappy given the weather was really bad when you came. We have the suspicion that you then tried to save as much money as you could - you asked us for a smaller room than the one you had booked, stating that there was a third bed and you would not use a third bed. First of all, you had chosen to book exactly this room at the given rate. Second, we were not able to «downgrade» you as the other rooms were taken. Then you decided to leave a day earlier than planned, asking for a full refund for this night. You communicated this early check-out the same day - we offered to refund if we could re-rent the room, but of course we were not able to. Third thing which you didn't like: you wanted to pay by a special credit card. But the payment for your non refundable booking had been charged long ago to another card you had given to us. We think we tried our best to help you in your situation and we were always polite - and we think it is more than unfair to blame us for all the inconveniences you experienced (weather, rate, card), but were not really our fault. You do not realize how damaging such revenge ratings are to hotels and small guesthouses - especially if we just get poor rates without any further comments.Kind regards, Esthers Guesthouse
