Two air-conditioned bedrooms comfortably accommodate four guests: no makeshift sofa bed—everyone has their own real bed.

From here, the entire south lies open to you: Anses-d’Arlet is 15 minutes away, Trois-Îlets is 20 minutes away, and Fort-de-France is 35 minutes away. The private parking lot saves you from the only real hassle of a vacation in Le Diamant during peak season: where to park.

The villa is located on the hillside of Habitation Jacqua, a residential neighborhood nestled on the hillside just above the village of Le Diamant. Here, there’s no through traffic: just a few small dead-end streets, gardens, mango trees, and the breeze from the trade winds that rises from the sea at the end of the day. You can hear the birds in the morning, not the scooters.

The town is a five-minute drive away, with its town square, church, bakeries, small shops, the Saturday morning market, and Creole restaurants where you can eat grilled fish with your feet in the sand. Grande Anse Beach, three kilometers of white sand lined with raisinier trees facing the open sea, is less than ten minutes away. A little further along the coast, the Cap 110 memorial at Anse Cafard overlooks the sea: fifteen statues facing the open water, one of the most moving sites on the island.

From Jacqua, the entire southern region is easily accessible: Anses-d’Arlet and its postcard-perfect pier are 15 minutes away, Trois-Îlets and Pointe du Bout are 25 minutes away, Sainte-Luce 20 minutes away, Fort-de-France 35 minutes away, and the airport 30 minutes away. Le Morne Larcher, right across the way, offers one of the most beautiful hikes in Martinique at sunrise.
