“We had a wonderful and lovely week in Bernieres sur mer. Isabelle and Guillaume were perfect hosts and their chalet was beautiful and very comfortable. Also, it had all the facilities we required. The use of bikes was an added bonus👌 Thank you. The location was very quiet and near to the beach where we enjoyed many strolls and bike rides along the promenade stopping for lunch/dinner/coffee/icecream etc - superb. It was a great central location to explore all the Normandy towns and WWII sites....

“We hadden een aangenaam verblijf in Colleville sur Mer. Accomodatie in het verblijf is heel goed. Veel te zien in de omgeving en het verblijf is heel rustig maar zeer nabij verschillende bezienswaardigheden o.a. Amerikaans kerkhof, Overlord museum. Lekker vers gemaakt appelsap van de eigenaar David.”

“We hebben een fantastisch verblijf gehad. Fijne ontvangst; de houtkachel brandde zelfs bij binnenkomst; Het huis is van alle gemakken voorzien en is centraal gelegen op korte afstand van alle voorzieningen. In de omgeving is veel te zien. Een week was eigenlijk te kort! De huiselijke sfeer maakte alles compleet!”

“Our group of 4 stayed here during the Normandy part of our France trip and it worked out very nicely. The hosts were very kind and helpful, the place was quite spacious and met our needs very well. It was chilly while we were there, so didn't get a chance to use the pool, but it was available. Groceries and restaurants were a short drive away. Very convenient to all the D-Day locations.”

“The house was very beautiful and well equipped (a baby chair would be the only possible improvement). The beach is near, but Caen as a larger city is also in reach. The host was very friendly and extremely helpful for finding activities and places to visit in the area (speaks English as well as French!). Definitly a place where we would like to stay again, if we were to return to the region near Caen!”

“This was our second visit to this property, the first after lockdown. As always we had a great and relaxing stay in one of the well appointed gites. This area of Normandy has so much to see and do and the frendliness and hospitality of Jean-Pierre (the owner) goes above and beyond. We will be back !”

“Die Vermieter wohnen mit Eltern auch auf dem Grundstück 5000 m 2 in eigenen Häusern. Das Ferienhaus ist mit 40 m 2 etwas klein aber für 2 Leute ausreichend. Ausstattung gehoben und sauber. Die Verständigung lief überwiegend über den Google Übersetzer was der Vermieter perfekt beherrschte. Auch war der Vermieter sofort da wenn wir noch Fragen hatten. Der Vermieter hat noch zwei weiter Wohnungen mit 70 m 2 Größe die wir erst in der zweiten Woche unsers Aufenthalt bemerkt hatten. Wir würden...

“Die in eine Ferienwohnung umgebaute Scheune ist zweckmäßig, einfach ausgestattet und sauber. Es ist alles da, was man braucht. Für 4 Personen allerdings sehr beengt, für 2 Personen absolut ok. Jedoch ist die Treppe zu den 2 Schlafräumen sehr schmal und steil. Für normal große Menschen und isb. mit Gehbehinderung ein Unding. Der Vermieter war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.”

“Nous sommes déçus de l’accueil très froid. Le chauffage ne fonctionnait pas en bas alors qu’il ne faisait pas chaud dehors . Et nous avons dû appeler avant la propriétaire pour le mettre en route qui a mal pris notre demande . Le forfait ménage nous a été imposé. L’extérieur n’est pas entretenu . Bref nous en gardons un souvenir négatif. Dommage car la région est belle.”
