“DO NOT STAY HERE. I had booked this property a week in advance and on the day i was told there was no room for me as they did not block out the bookings when they were fully booked. They claimed they had sent a message on the portal “hours in advance” However, prior to my arrival there was no message or attempt to contact myself to let me know that the property was already booked up. “Good points: Staff were professional and friendly. FREE Parking (you just have to register using the code provided) FREE Continental breakfast was an added bonus. Room was clean, which must be difficult as the rooms are quite old and in need of improvement. Bad Bits Woken up by power tools being used at 830am (Sunday) for the refurbishment work which is madness. “Communication regarding check-in was awful. Room was really cold when I got in. Couldn't lock door at first, had to mess about freeing rhe lock (should not be my job!!) No towels or soap available. No hot water on tap. No tea/coffee making facility, although there was a kettle so at least I could get some hot water, but no cups/mugs. “Room (deluxe with bath) blew us away - fantastic and very luxurious. Booked room with a bath to relax after a hard couple of weeks. Unfortunately the bath jets didn’t work and the water was only just warm. Reception offered to send someone out to check but the moment had already passed. Everything else with the stay was great - just shame with the bath which we’d booked specifically ”
