Wonderful work retreat
The house was great and we really enjoyed being able to walk to the nature trail, into town, and to the grocery store. There was enough space for everyone to have come privacy, but also to come together and chat. The trailhead to Icicle Ridge was also convenient to get to, which was a lovely hike! Communication with the host was prompt.

Great little gem
I was pleasantly surprised at the charm this house has. It was perfect for our annual adults trip to town. And although we rented this cute vintage house during one of the coldest weekends Leavenworth had seen in a while. -14 at night and -4 during the day. Our hosts were more than accommodating to ensure we were comfortable. Would definitely rent again!!

Great property/severe lack of communication
The house itself was lovely. Much bigger inside than the pictures would have you believe. Everything appeared clean and in neat order. Definitely old house charm - floor boards and doors were very noisy. Heating was a little wonky, but we were never cold. The only reason I am giving 3/5 stars is because of the lack of communication with the owners. I never received information regarding checking in/out prior to our stay. I reached out via email and called the owner numbers given with no luck. One phone number was a fax, one went straight to voicemail. Upon arrival I called a number tied to my reservation confirmation and was told they had no record of my reservation. I ended up calling VRBO Customer Service and was finally able to get the code to the key box and get into the house. Overall we were happy with the house. We had 3 families with kids and there was more than enough space for all of us.

Location is amazing!
Lots of rooms and the whole place was even bigger than it seemed in the photos. Nice big kitchen that is well stocked with cooking and dining stuff. Location was spectacular and close to downtown. Loved it and when we come back we hope to book this house again

What a charming house in a charming neighborhood! We had a decent sized group and it felt like there was plenty of space and great communal areas. The furniture was comfy, the neighbors were lovely (they cleared snow from our front walk for us), and we were able to walk everywhere. Things to know: it’s an old house and comes with some normal old house things (not much noise insulation, creaky floors that aren’t perfectly level, worn interior door latches that don’t always catch the first time, a front door that takes a little effort). But the aging parts are cosmetic and even charming - the appliances and kitchen are modern and I have never met an easier checkout!

Perfect Location - Charming Home!
Older 2 story home, huge living area and large dining table. Gorgeous high ceiling and lots of parking in the back, off the street. So close to all of Leavenworth! Clean, comfortable beds. Downsides - only 2 bathrooms and 5 bedrooms. With 6 or more people this can stack things up. Also, some of the outlets in the bedrooms were so old/loose they wouldn't hold my phone charger in - it kept falling out. If you are a TV watcher they don't have satellite or cable (that I could tell or get to work). But, we weren't there to watch TV so no bid deal at all. I still give it 5 stars!

Four retired siblings and our spouses get-together
We all were very comfortable. The house is very charming and accommodated our gathering perfectly. Because it's an older home it's got a lot of character. Everything was very clean and tidy. Being in walking distance of all the shopping was excellent. And being able to park all four of our vehicles in back of the house was nice. We would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Charming and GREAT location
This house is a charmer! Great location, everything we needed. We took Corn hole for the yard and it was fun sitting in backyard. Fully stocked, it was very hot- so only recs would be possibly adding one more AC unit (there are two, one in an upstairs bedroom and one in a downstairs bedroom), and the fridge was struggling to keep up, I think it’s older and it might be time. These are just “in a perfect world” recs and communication with prop management was excellent. I would…I WILL stay here again! Thank you!!

Delightful Summer Visit
We enjoyed our girlfriends trip and staying in the house. There were five of us so we each had our own room. An easy walk to the downtown area. A great house for families or friends.

Fabulous Leavenworth!
We had a fabulous stay at Bergen Haus! A chance to enjoy family time together and the great surroundings and scenery of Leavenworth. The house was lovely and a bit quirky, in character for its age. We enjoyed Icicle Brewing and Andreas Keller. My brother hiked Icicle Ridge and loved it. I loved Blackbird Island and waterfront park.

Big House, Great Location
Nice old house, well appointed, in walking distance from downtown amenities. Great space. Lots of room. Would be great for a group. Only 2 rooms have AC, though, so if it is hot outside, it is hot inside. Mattresses could use replacing as they are a little soft and lumpy.

Great House & Location
This house is perfect for a large group and fits 10 people comfortably. It's located within easy walking distance of the downtown area & a short walk to the river that you can stick a floatie in. It also has a great front porch to hang out on and do some people watching plus a nice little backyard (although it could use a mow). The owners are very responsive and helpful with any issues or questions. It's important to know that this house gets very hot in the summer time. There is an air conditioner in a bedroom downstairs and one upstairs but not in any of the main living spaces. There are quite a few fans, but it doesn't help a ton when it's 90+. Other than that, this is a fantastic spot in Leavenworth and I would stay again!

It’s a fave!
Love this property! Fits our whole fam. So close to the store and downtown. Five stars from us. Would love AC units in the upstairs two rooms as it was 90 degrees all the days we were here. We will be back!

We had a great stay in this very centrally located home. It had some charming quirks of an old home but was easy and comfortable. The only minor drawback was that most of the large truck traffic appeared to use this street rather than the main and it was a bit noisy at times, otherwise a perfect spot.

Great Location!!
We loved that we could easily walk to the beautiful river path or downtown at any moment. It was just a short stroll to go get breakfast, coffee or do shopping. The house was just as depicted in the vrbo listing, the front and back porches were peaceful outdoor spaces, and everything worked great for a larger group!

Fun girls weekend
Great location with parking. Easily able to walk to and from town. McDonald and grocery across the street. Starbucks in walking distance. Large bedrooms with a lot of space. Upstairs does get pretty hot, 3 of the rooms have AC units but the 2 middle ones on the upstairs do not, this is accounted for with ceiling fans and table fans in the room. Unfortunately the windows open from the top and tilt inward so you cannot close the blinds while having windows open. Middle 2 rooms on upstairs also don’t close without the deadbolt locked. Overall fantastic location, great host would recommend to anyone and definitely come back 😊

New Year in Leavenworth
The property fit our needs perfectly, we were located close enough to town that anyone, 10 - 80, could walk in whenever they chose. The property was a great fit for our group of 8.

Lovely Leavenworth Home!
We came to Leavenworth right after Christmas. We really enjoyed being so close to the town. We could walk to the main city area in just about 5 minutes. The home has lovely decor and very soft beds. We enjoyed the vintage style.

Great getaway!
We came around Christmas time, the house inside was decorated so lovely. Nice, warm and cozy! Beds were comfortable and kitchen had everything. Walking distance to town where we enjoyed sledding, shoping and eating. Rudoff pizza was amazing. We will definitely be returning.

Beautiful snow covered Christmas town!
This home was very comfortable for our family Christmas adventure. We walked into town several times a day to enjoy the snow covered town of Leavenworth and then returned to our warm home to make meals and enjoy family time. We even watched the premiere showing of the movie "Cloudy with a chance of Christmas" , the Lifetime movie filmed last year in Leavenworth! Wonderful family memories!

Family Getaway
Bergen Has was fabulous! Staying in town made our stay so fun. We were able to walk and explore the shops and restaurants with ease, as well as find time to play games or relax. Will definitely make this trip again!

We go to Leavenworth every year the 1st weekend in November and for several years have rented this specific house. We come over as a group to celebrate one of the couple’s anniversary! We all love this home and I’ve already booked it for next year!

We enjoyed staying at the Bergen Haus. The property was just a few blocks from downtown shopping, restaurants and wine tasting. A few of the amenities listed were not available, but the property manager returned our call promptly and updated the listing for future guests.

Wonderful house with a lot of character
The location was perfect. Just park the cars and don't worry about them for the rest of the trip. The house was really easy to find and the property managers were very communicative. The house itself had all the amenities we needed to tend to 5 adults and one child under 1 year old (there was room for more if we wanted). There are two air conditioning units we turned on during the day and kept the lights off and windows shuttered which kept the house nice and cool. There are fans in every room to help with the air flow. The only thing that wasn't clean on the property were the floors. When the baby got black hands from crawling around between the living rooms we learned to keep our shoes on and put the picnic blanket down for the baby. Overall a minor issue to the great stay we had! I would recommend this house to anyone and will stay here again in the future!

Great location
Really enjoyed staying here. The location is wonderful and the house had plenty of space and stayed surprisingly cool. The kitchen had everything we needed and the house was pretty clean. It is a very old house so the floorboards and doors are super squeaky- not a big deal because our kids sleep hard but could be an issue If yours don’t. Overall a very nice place to stay with a lot of character.

Best Vacation Rental To Date
This was the cleanest, best stocked property I have rented pre- and post-COVID. It truly felt like home. The location was perfect for our group. Someone in our group left behind a relatively expensive piece of jewelry with significant sentimental value. The cleaning crew and Ellise went above and beyond to find it then offered options for the return process, just like you would do for a family member. Hope to return soon!

Very nice property for a large family with plenty of space. Old world charm and easy access to walking to town, river and shopping. Close to main roads and outdoor activities. Bike rental next door and grocery store across street.

Location location location!
Loved this place! Stayed with our kids and spouses. 5 bedrooms and 2 bath was just fine. There is an additional mini room for 2 kids but it’s warm, no air flow and the washer dryer are in there. and Our kids wanted to access town whenever they wanted so this place was perfect. We didn’t have to drive to town which was ideal bc town was busy and parking expensive. Loves that all four of our cars fit out back. The porch was our fave…lots of laughs and talks out there. The floors are squeaky but if everyone has a fan or white noise you don’t hear it. The high was 80 and the house stayed mostly cool. If it was any hotter, it would have been too warm upstairs. One room upstairs has a window AC and one downstairs has one. Helpful to have washer/dryer and a great working kitchen. It’s right across from Dan’s grocery and that’s a big plus since we prepped meals. Beds we’re comfy. We will definitely stay here again.
