A 3 bed/2 bath cabin retreat unlike anything you've ever seen! Hand-painted furniture and eccentric artwork fills the bright, yet cozy, 2,100 sq. foot space. You'll never be at a loss for things to do or places to relax -- with a hot tub, gas fire pit, grill, spacious screened-in porch, pond and peaceful-sounding water fall, a book nook loft, indoor fireplaces, a kids’ playhouse, and an arcade room. Only four mins from Annville and 20 from Hershey, you're surrounded by woods but w/the convenience of a cute town and delicious restaurants nearby.

This property surpassed all expectations. It is so unique, both the gorgeous scenery and the amazing artwork inside. We absolutely loved the size and different seating options that the screened-in porch offered while listening to the flow of the pond and staring at the gorgeously bloomed wisteria. If we weren't in the porch, then we were enjoying the fire-pit area and the propane made it so user friendly. The hot tub was also huge and the temps were perfect. Could not rave enough about this place. Definitely Whimsy in the Woods :) Our host was also a great communicator with our random questions as the trip got closer. Than you Jess for sharing your your gem!

This home was hands down my favorite vacation home we visited thus far. My entire family loved it the kids wanted to stay forever. The house had everything we needed, i never seen a home prepared as this one was. I just loved to soak in the presence of each room. There was perfect area for the whole family. The hot tub was cozy, the beds were comfortable i slept in most of them, the family room was very comfortable we cooked in the kitchen and had everything we needed. I could have spent forever here. Id recommend anyone who puts this house in the list to pick this one.

This house was amazing, clean and much more than we expected. The attention to detail and the sweet reminders of how cared for this property is did not go unnoticed by us. The porch was unbelievably cozy and the sound of a babbling brook was ever present and so inviting. Every detail was beyond expectations and I can't say enough good about this property. If you are in the area and it meets your needs, don't hesitate to rent it. You will not be disappointed.

The cabin was the best! So many whimsical fun things to look at. The sun porch was awesome. Even though it was cold there were plenty of cozy blankets available. The hot tub was the BEST! Everyone enjoyed it. The fire pit was great too! We were in town for wedding so didn’t have a lot of free time. We were wishing we could’ve stayed for one more day just to enjoy the cabin! Everything was AWESOME!!

We were in town for a wedding and the Bee’s Knees was perfect for us! The fun games (inside and out) kept us busy and entertained during our downtime. My MIL loved her mattress so much, she found the brand label, so she could get one for her own home. The fire pit was the night time entertainment, along with watching football on the outdoor television. Wow! What a property! I just wish we booked it for a longer stay. Next time!

We didn't want to leave! From check-in to departure, we felt welcomed, comfortable, & relaxed. A perfect week. Jess & Amy have perfected hospitality from the sweet, personalized welcome to the easy communication & accommodating a 10 year who noticed she'd left her squishmallow behind!The ramp into the house & 2 bedrooms on the main floor were a huge blessing to this group of 3 generations! The photos provide an accurate description of the whimsy - a joyful setting. Though the peace of the screened in "porch" with the sound of your bubbling brook in the morning (before the noise of the day woke) has to be experienced - it can't be fully described.Nature surrounds this home yet groceries were only 5 minutes away and Hershey Park, Gettysburg and Turkey Hill Experience within easy drives!Thank you, J&A, for offering this to others.

Fun and relaxing getaway

Had a great time staying in this treasure of a home. There was enough space for each of us (6 adults) to relax as we wanted. Hot tub and fire pit were a plus and the screened in room was our nightly destination for games and conversation. Only critiques would be that the lighting was confusing to figure out and the steps down to the lower level are very short. Several of us almost fell because our feet were bigger than the steps.We appreciated the welcoming snacks and extras for the bathroom and kitchen. Our host was very responsive to any needs we had, and we definitely recommend staying there if you want to visit the area or even just get away and relax.

Gorgeous house and property, generous host

We loved our weekend at Whimsy in the Woods. I could have spent the entire time gazing out the floor-to-ceiling windows at the woods, birds, and deer. The house was so well stocked - with k-cups, coffee, tea, spices, toiletries, kitchen spray, trash bags, everything you could think of - and our host added some extra special touches like leaving us the makings of s’mores. The hot tub was lovely, the fireplaces super cozy, and the loft was perfect for the kids.

Perfect Christmas Cabin

5 Adults were comfortably ensconced in this beautifully appointed and artistically decorated cabin over the Xmas holiday. We had so much fun! We puzzled and played games and baked and hot tubbed 2x a day. It was so relaxing! We only left once - but we didn’t want to! The cabin had so many towels and lovely robes-very cozy!

Expect the unexpected

We booked this property expecting it to look and feel as advertised: A cozy, artistically inclined, funky little cabin tucked away in the woods. What we did not expect was the incredible attention to detail, the extreme level of cleanliness, and the abundance of amenities that greeted us like an old friend when we first walked in after a long drive. It was immediately clear to us that the owners poured every ounce of love they could into the decor and atmosphere, making my family and I feel welcome. We were mesmerized by all of the beautiful artwork and custom details, and my kids loved going around trying to find all of the carefully hidden details, which were plentiful! Whimsy in the woods is a truly magical place you don’t want to miss!

Great Place For the Whole Family

Everything was as described...very cool art...every time I looked around, I saw something different! The only thing that would be nice is to make both of the main floor rooms the "queen or king bed" rooms and make the basement a bunk room for the kids....having 6 staying on the main floor and loft caused 6 of us sharing the one bathroom on the main floor and the couple staying downstairs had their own bathroom....but got constantly interupted when the kids wanted to go to the game room area or outside. I owned a STR where I had two twin over full bunk beds, we called the "bunkroom" that had its own onsuite bathroom....we always got high reviews with comments on how great it was that the kids had their own space! It sitll all worked out and we all had a great time and loved the place! Location was great because it was close to family as well as the activities we had planned.

An absolute dream!

From start to finish our host has been welcoming, attentive, and helpful, I can’t say enough about her! We had an amazing time in the house and it is the perfect spot for pretty much every occasion. Perfect stay!

We had a wonderful stay at this property! Jess was communicative, attentive, and helpful. The house is better stocked than any rental I’ve ever stayed at—toiletries, condiments, coffee, tea, water bottles, kids’ toys & books, adult toys & books, postcards to send, nightlights, sound machines, towels (even robes!), marshmallow sticks, an adorable s’mores kit—seriously, they’ve thought of everything. The hot tub is huge, the view is beautiful, the property is immaculate, the location is unbeatable. Beds were comfy, water was hot, kitchen was well-appointed. I can’t say a bad word about it. I was worried about the balcony railing with my 17-month old, so Jess send photos and dimensions of the stairwell opening so I could bring tension baby gates. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Just PERFECT

I will not be able to say enough good things in this review about this place. It’s a dream. The functionality of the rooms, bathrooms and gathering spaces was perfect for our family and friends trip. It has everything you need and then some. Plenty of towels and bedding, toiletries, night lights for the kids, sound machines, books (for young and old) games and puzzles… And the extras! A fantastically relaxing and luxurious hot tub, natural gas, easy to light outdoor fire pit and game room with arcade games added to the already great space. And, on top of all that, it was the cleanest place I’ve ever stayed. You NEED to book a stay here!
