Dolce, accogliente e pulito in stile casale Cape nel sicuro, tranquillo quartiere di Abbey Court ai piedi della montagna di ottobre negli splendidi Berkshires. Convenientemente vicino all'autostrada, ma fuori dai sentieri battuti. Situato in posizione centrale e molto breve in auto per i posti migliori da visitare: Stockbridge (5 miglia a Main Street, a soli 5 strade di distanza da casa mia!), Tanglewood (5. 5 miglia), Berkshire Botanical Garden (7 miglia), Norman Rockwell Museum (7 miglia), Jacob's Pillow (9 miglia) e altro ancora. Vicino a notevoli sentieri escursionistici e mountain bike (Appalachian Trail, October Mtn, Ice Glen, Monument Mtn, Donato's Trail, Kennedy Park, Schermerhorn Gorge e altro), campi da tennis dietro l'angolo, vicino a Cranwell (Lenox) e Greenock Country Club ( Lee) campi da golf, soddisfacenti cene in ristoranti come Baja Charlies (i migliori tacos di pesce al mondo!), 51 Park, Morgan House, Timothy's (la migliore pizza!), Salmon Run il famoso Joe's Diner e altro ancora. A sole due strade da Main Street e Lee Outlets per favolosi negozi di antiquariato e abbigliamento.

Piccola casa e tuttavia spaziosa. Tre camere da letto e uno spazio ufficio se hai bisogno di lavorare. TV a grande schermo (4 piedi di larghezza, 3 piedi di altezza) con immagini eccellenti nel soggiorno. Rilassante patio posteriore per una comoda cena all'aperto con un focolare all'aperto portatile per godersi il bellissimo fogliame autunnale. È tutto ciò di cui hai bisogno quando visiti i Berkshires, sia che tu voglia uscire per divertirti o preferire trascorrere una notte tranquilla.

Ora è un bel momento per visitare i Berkshires. Il clima è più fresco e il fogliame autunnale sta iniziando a entrare nella sua fase di gloria. Le vividi tonalità di rosso, giallo e arancione sono mozzafiato da ora a ottobre. Si prevede che le prime settimane di ottobre nei Berkshires siano il capolino delle foglie di picco. Ci sono numerosi siti dove prendere tutto e favolose foto op abbondano!

A proposito, ogni anno la città di Lee celebra il loro compleanno. Quest'anno è stato il 242esimo! Hanno avuto il molto popolare Lee Founders Weekend, iniziato venerdì 13 settembre con The Taste of Lee dalle 17 alle 20 e Fireworks alle 20. Vale il viaggio con cibo davvero delizioso e poi uno spettacolo pirotecnico molto divertente!

Delightful summer stay

This is the 2nd time we stayed at this property, this time for 6 weeks. Property is conveniently located to major attractions, hiking, charming towns. The main bedroom is located on the first floor, perfect for us; our guests had complete privacy on the 2nd floor. The owner is responsive to guests’ needs and went as far as to order a step stool so i could reach the upper shelves. Prior to its arrival, i located one in the basement. Nancy even picked up our mail in the post office.

A month in the Berkshires

We had a lovely stay and were sorry to Ledbetter. We booked the same property for 6 weeks next year prior to our departure. House worked very well for us--primary bedroom and bath were on the first floor, two secondary bedrooms on the the 2nd floor this giving us and our guests some privacy. House is very well equipped. There were a variety of herbs and spices, coffee, tea, dishwasher tablets, paper towels, laundry detergent, etc. eliminating the necessity of purchasing same. We're looking forward to next summeex

Great Location for Touring the Berkshires

This immaculate home is set in a quiet neighborhood close to all major attractions in the Berkshires. It is beautifully appointed and the kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals. I love that the home is stocked with plenty of linens and extra blankets. Check in and out was easy. My sister and I verry much enjoyed our stay at The Freckled Hen. We would definitely return here again.

What a treasure!!!

Great house. Was perfect for 3 couples coming to the area for Tanglewood! House is so well stocked, so clean and comfortable....beds were great! Nancy is a gracious host and readily available if needed! Yard is beautiful, with a barbecue and a firepit. We can't wait to return!

Girls Getaway

My group had a lovely stay at the Freckled Hen! Each of us had our own room and the house was stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. One night we got about 5 inches of heavy snow and the owner was very responsive in getting the driveway cleared in the morning so it didn't disrupt our plans for the day. We didn't do much cooking other than breakfast but the kitchen looked well stocked with spices, etc. The living room seats 4 people comfortably so it suited our group of 3 ladies but if you are more than four people and plan to stay in at night and watch a movie you'll need to use the kitchen chairs as well. Ah, I forgot to suggest to the homeowner it would be good to leave instructions on how to get Netflix on the TV - it took us a bit to find it but it's there! Lastly, if you're looking for a good nights sleep the beds were very comfortable and everyone slept quite well. We will certainly come back again if the opportunity present itself!

We stayed here in Oct. 3 adults and the home was perfect size. The kitchen and bathrooms were stocked well. The heat was great, showers were hot. The location was close to everything we wanted to do.

Tanglewood Reunion

Nancy’s house was the perfect place for a Brandi Carlile Tanglewood concert reunion with long time college friends. The house was perfectly set up for us with everything we needed for a relaxing visit and proximity to Tanglewood (15 minutes away) was ideal. She was helpful with suggestions for local restaurants and day trips. I highly recommend Nancy’s home for a visit to the beautiful Berkshires.

Lovely, serene setting and property

Our family of five had a wonderful stay at Nancy's home. We had everything we needed, three spacious bedrooms with queen beds, two lovely bathrooms, and a spectacular backyard setting. The location was perfect for our day trips to Tanglewood, Chesterwood, and the Berkshire Botanical Gardens. We look forward to coming back again soon! Family Time in the Berkshires

My mother, cousin and sister-in-law spent a delightful long weekend in the Berkshires. There was plenty of room. It’s a quiet neighborhood at the base of October mountain The cottage has three spacious bedrooms, two floors with two bathrooms. The kitchen and bathroom extremely well stocked with everything you can imagine!! The entire place was spotless !! Nancy was so generous with times of arrival and departure. The garden is lovely and it was so pleasant to eat some meals outside! Will definitely stay here again!!

Wonderful house and host

We’ve just returned from a 3-night stay at The Speckled Hen, and we loved it. Nancy, the host, was so thoughtful, letting us know the morning of our check-in day that we could arrive a little early as the cleaning was already done as well as responding very promptly to every email I sent, from the time of booking right through our stay there. The house is even nicer in person than it looks in the photos, with very comfy beds and furniture. The lay-out was perfect for us and our two friends, with a nice first floor bedroom near a beautifully renovated bath, and two other rooms on the second floor flanking another bath. The location is also excellent - VERY easy to get to Lenox/Tanglewood, Stockbridge, and of course downtown Lee. It’s in a quiet, beautiful area, but still close to major roads. We will definitely be back!

Lovely house in the Berkshires

A great find for those visiting the Berkshires. A very comfortable home in a quiet neighborhood, close to key entertainment venues and restaurants, with tons of room for the two couples (with a bedroom left over). Checking in and out couldn't have been easier, and the host was extremely thoughtful.

Perfect Berkshires getaway!

This was the perfect house for a long weekend girls trip! Plenty of space to spread out and also a great gathering space for meals and late night chats. The house is truly adorable, with lots of thoughtful amenities for the guests. And it is close to many Berkshires attractions, including adorable downtown Lee. Nancy was a perfect host - very responsive and welcoming. I'd definitely stay here again!

The Freckled Hen is the best!!

Absolutely wonderful, one of the best VRBO experiences I’ve ever had! I’ve stayed in many Vrbo’s, this was just fantastic! Lovely, comfortable home and beautiful yard. Great friends weekend

Nancy, our host was very accessible and had lots of great suggestions for activities, restaurants and music. Her home is nicely decorated, clean and very comfortable. Beds were extremely comfortable with nice linens. Plenty of towels and bath amenities. Lovely backyard and gardens (it was super hot this past weekend) so only spent time outside late afternoon and early morning. House is fully air conditioned and has ceiling fans in bedrooms. We had a great stay! Thank you!
