Owner fraudulently charged us , lied about, STAY AWAY
WORST EXPERIENCE!!!!!!!! STAY AWAY!!!!!!!
Vrbo process crashed before giving us a confirmation we had rented this. When we contacted the owner from the exact email and account we attempted to rent from they said we didn’t have it. Then somehow they changed our credit card for the full amount.
We immediately contacted them but they again said they didn’t have record of us having the rental. The VRBO app didn’t show it on any device we logged into.
We had several conversations in which they denied that we had the rental and that they had charged our card. Then they asked us if we knew someone that we have no connection to.
Vrbo was no help either - even after showing them the full documentation. They couldn’t even fond the reservation in the app either.
Even days later it still didn’t show in the app.
Instead of refunding the money or attempting to help us. They just pocketed it and VRBO did nothing.
With the proof my credit card company flagged it as fraud and gave me my money back.
I will NEVER USE VRBO again and share this experience with as many as possible to avoid this host!!! If they don’t post this review it will be further proof of the fraud I can use.
STAY AWAY!!!
Did I mention they too advantage of a death in my family as well?
I was flying from the United States because my brother was dying ( and did day a few days later) I had to get to UK asap.
No compassion from VRBO or the owner. They just took my money.
