Just 6 miles from downtown Wilmington and 16 miles from Wrightsville Beach, this cottage is the perfect escape. Enjoy the peace and tranquility of the surrounding neighborhood, with occasional traffic throughout the day.
    We are pet friendly. $25 a night per pet. This will be paid after you book with us.

Place was nice. Needs some maintenance items tended too. Cleanliness could have been better. Found trash behind dresser when we hooked up our firestick. Overall was a nice place. Very accommodating for our 3 pets.

Cute little cottage, road is horrible but not property owners fault. Perfect for our needs as it is 3 minutes from our daughter and grandbabies.

Leland cottage

Host responded right away and dropped off a new blow dryer when we could not find the one that was supposed to be there. Cute house, great park for kayaking at the end of the street, Leland town disc golf course is just up the street.

We chose this home because of the location for visiting family and near town. The fenced yard was great and we enjoyed the farmhouse sink and air fryer. Unfortunately, the stay was disappointing, especially with the cost. We stayed for 3 weeks, and the home was not ready for a longer stay. The kitchen felt like it had been set up by someone who has never cooked. We bought many items just to prepare food. Towels, bedding, and blankets were provided in very limited quantities. The home also had many maintenance issues. The WiFi kept cutting out, the shower faucet was loose, an air vent was detached, the laundry door was broken, lamps did not work, and the washing machine made a loud noise. The porch also seemed to be deteriorating. There were also comfort concerns. The bunk bed felt unstable for an adult, so we moved the mattress to the floor. The curtains offered no privacy and one bedroom had none. My mom uses a walker, so the narrow doors and uneven floors were challenging. We know this is an older home, but those limitations should be noted in the listing. The neighborhood was noisy, with dogs barking and construction starting early each day. This home has potential because of its location, but it needs many improvements in maintenance, stocking, and guest comfort. At this price, we expected a clean, well-maintained, thoughtfully equipped rental. Unfortunately, the number of issues made this stay frustrating and disappointing, and we would not stay here again.

Cute getaway

This home has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It was clean and maintained. It would be nice to have more towels and extra blankets. Also, it would be nice to have a handbook that tells certain things like where the garbage goes and what the internet password is. Overall it's a 4 star place. We will rent it again in the future.

We don’t recommend

There were no kitchen towels so that explains all the stained white towels. The couch, all base boards, floor edges, under refrigerator and kitchen trash can were filthy. Bath tub faucet was falling off. The bathroom sink water leaked onto floor. Laundry doors off and stored in a closet. Master bath barn door falls off rail. We had to turn on master bathroom hot water. Kitchen bottom corner cabinet door falling off.

Ants

We were excited to visit this property. The reality vs the photos was astonishing beginning with our entrance into the property. Although some effort was put into updating the property, the floors were extraordinarily unlevel with dips and humps throughout the house. (The floor warrants serious inspection) We had a snack and went to the beach only to return to find armies of ants in our food, up the walls, on and in drink bottles. The ant problem continued during our entire stay. The roach found in the bathroom this morning didn't really seem surprising in light of the dirt in the corners of the bathroom. The remodel of the home is done in good taste with the kitchen being surprisingly spacious and the sleeping arrangents definitely adequate for our needs.

RUN AWAY

The main bedroom window and kitchen window don’t lock at all. The smart lock on the front door doesn’t work at all. The only way to lock the front door is with the deadbolt from the inside. So this property is literally accessible to anyone at all times. All rooms were dirty with dirt, grease, dust and pet hair (walls, floors, drawers, dishes, utensils, air fryer, etc). The house is in need of repair: smells bad; water stains and dry wall damage throughout; broken patio umbrella; rotten cotton hammock; the bath tub faucet is extremely loose from the wall; loose toilet seat; broken toilet paper holder; heavily stained shower curtain; slow drains; broken kitchen chair, etc. The furniture (beds, couch, dining set) and linens are cheap and uncomfortable. It’s a nightmare.
