Nestled in the lush hills of Terres Basses, Villa La Salamandre welcomes you via a long, palm-lined drive flanked by tropical flowers, trees, and shrubs. The villa is embraced by beautifully landscaped gardens that extend through the entry courtyard and envelop the property, creating an immediate sense of privacy and serenity. The Moorish­inspired arched entrance draws you into the cool and expansive interiors.



The Space:

The centerpiece of La Salamandre is its expansive swimming pool and lagoon front beach space. The pool area is designed for relaxation and recreation, with ample sun loungers, a shaded gazebo, and panoramic views of the shimmering Simpson Bay Lagoon. Just steps away, a private beach invites you to unwind in the soft sands. It's the ideal spot to savor the views.



Inside, Villa La Salamandre offers expansive, thoughtfully designed spaces for lounging, dining, and entertaining. Travertine tile floors flow throughout, harmonizing with natural light and sea breezes that sweep in through floor-to-ceiling sliding doors. The villa's kitchen is equipped with light wood cabinetry, granite countertops, and stainless steel appliances including two professional-sized refrigerators providing a perfect platform for inspired gourmet cooking. Wrap-around countertops offer ample casual dining while allowing chefs to share the experience with family or guests.

Outdoor living is a hallmark of La Salamandre. Multiple terraces feature comfortable seating, shaded gazebos, and large outdoor dining areas. A barbecue complements the dining terrace, while sculpted loungers line the heated pool for sun-soaked relaxation. Covered areas provide gentle breezes, to enjoy panoramic Lagoon views.



The villa boasts a total of six luxurious bedrooms, five of which connect directly to the terrace, each offering stunning lagoon views. The decor combines contemporary lines, rich textures, and exotic accents such as teak poster beds, curated artwork, and tranquil color palettes. A sixth bedroom, enjoys garden views and features two twin beds, making it an excellent choice for families or friends traveling together. The bedrooms are beautifully appointed, offering a peaceful sanctuary for restful nights.



Nestled directly on the Lagoon in Terres Basses, St. Martin, La Salamandre offers the perfect blend of tranquility and convenience. Gourmet restaurants and specialty food purveyors in Baie Nettle are just minutes away, while the French capital of Mari got with shops, markets, and historic sites is ten minutes by car. Princess Juliana International Airport is fifteen minutes away, and Grand Case and Philipsburg are reachable within 30 minutes.

* Concierge Access: Before and throughout your stay, a dedicated concierge will be available to assist with all arrangements and requests. We coordinate a wide range of services including in-villa chef services, delivery services (groceries, champagne & wine deliveries), in-villa massages, in-villa car rental deliveries, restaurant reservations, boat charters, tours and activities and more!

* Housekeeping Services: Monday through Saturday (except for holidays).

* Complimentary Welcome Basket: A curated welcome basket will be awaiting you upon arrival.

* Complimentary Arrival Transfer: One complimentary transfer from the airport to the villa is included for up to 10 guests. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by our airport host just outside the arrivals hall.

* Complimentary Departure Transfer: One complimentary transfer from the villa to the airport is included for up to 10 guests.

While you’ll enjoy the peaceful ambiance of Terres Basses, you are just a short drive from many of the island’s top attractions. Marigot is only 10 minutes away, where you’ll find boutique shopping, gourmet dining, lively markets, and cultural landmarks that highlight the unique charm.



Food lovers will appreciate the villa’s proximity to exceptional dining. Baie Nettle and Porto Cupecoy offer a variety of gourmet restaurants and waterfront eateries. For everyday essentials, you’ll enjoy convenient access to small local markets, with larger grocery stores just a short drive away.



Beach lovers are perfectly situated, with some of the island’s finest beaches close by. Baie Longue, Baie Rouge and Plum Bay are all within a short walk or drive from the villa. Spend your days sinking your toes into soft white sand, swimming in crystal-clear waters, or relaxing under the warm Caribbean sun.



Getting Around:

St. Martin has so much to offer, and having a car makes it easy to explore the island at your own pace. From hidden beaches to charming villages and breathtaking viewpoints, having your own wheels ensures you can discover everything this beautiful island has to offer.



To make your stay effortless, our concierge service is available to arrange a hassle-free car rental for you. Vehicles are delivered directly to the villa, and all paperwork is completed upon your arrival. We recommend renting a car for the duration of your stay, and our team is happy to assist with all arrangements.



Other Things to Note:

* Heated Pool: Available from December 16 to April 15. Maximum temperature is limited to 86°F (30°C).

*This 6-bedroom villa accommodates up to 12 guests as standard. It is possible to host up to 2 additional guests at a cost of $100 per guest, per night (plus 10% tax and service fee). Please note that a rollaway bed must be rented to accommodate the extra guests. If you are traveling with more than 12 guests, please reach out to us in advance to confirm availability and pricing.



Interaction with Guests:

Upon arrival at Princess Juliana International Airport (SXM), you will be warmly greeted by our airport greeter, who will guide you to your complimentary arrival transfer (for up to 10 guests). Your driver, fully familiar with the island, will ensure a smooth and direct journey to the villa. At the villa, you will be welcomed by your personal Guest Experience Specialist, who will give you a full tour of the property and serve as your dedicated point of contact throughout your stay.



Before your arrival, all details will be coordinated with you to ensure a seamless, stress-free, and relaxing Caribbean welcome—so you can start enjoying your vacation from the moment you land.

Friends scuba dive trip

Everything about this property was first class. The house was magnificent, the pool was perfect, the exercise room was everything we needed. Giovanni, our concierge, could not have been more helpful, and he went above and beyond to arrange dinners and transportation. Mary, the housekeeper, was timely and thorough. Everything was simply outstanding. Will definitely return on our next adventure to St. Maarten.
