Romantico e accogliente
L'hotel/pub/ristorante è immerso in una atmosfera magica ed affaccia direttamente sulla baia del paesino. Lo staff è veramente cordiale, attento e simpatico. La proprietaria attenta e premurosa. Tutto è nuovo, curato dettagliatamente e pulito. Abbiamo pernottato benissimo nella Captain, una delle camere con affaccio sulla baia. E' dotata di ogni comfort, addirittura le casse per l'ipod. Il bagno è veramente grande e pulito. Abbiamo anche cenato al ristorante ed era tutto molto squisito così come la colazione (ricco buffet e possibilità di ordinare varianti cucinate sul momento). Da provare le aringhe!

This property is excellent, beautiful, 5 star hotel in the middle of a tiny town, disguised as a quaint little hotel. Everything is excellent, room, service, staff all beyond expectations. Loved it!!!

This was our first visit to the Ship Inn, what a find this is a thriving business set in an amazing location. The staff all ages are attentive, polite & on their game. The highlight is the food- whoever they have working in the kitchens are a talented bunch.

Great location. Lovely staff and delicious food. We were a little disappointed with the location of the room (avoid the downstairs room if you can) which was right next to the road downstairs where we almost brushed shoulders with passer-by’s - it was not possible to leave the window open at night to get some fresh air.

I am sorry that you were disappointed with your room. I am afraid that we only sell 2 rooms on booking sites. Our sea-view rooms are only available to book direct. For future reference it is also considerably cheaper to book direct as well. I am delighted that you enjoyed everything else and I hope that we can welcome you back another time.

Amazing location and restaurant! Room not as good.
The location is amazing. Absolutely beautiful. The bar, restaurant, and outside bar are all awesome! Great service, great food, real effort put into being Gluten Free, and ridiculously good breakfast. The staff are wonderful! The room needed improvement. The bathroom fan didn't work, so any time you shower, the entire bathroom had a ton of moisture everywhere. The rainfall shower head is weak and the separate hand held head isn't tied to the same lines, so was really hard to control, and not super useful. The tub had black stuff (guessing black mold) coming out of the stopper when my wife took a shower, and the stopper didn't work well, so she had to run the water the entire bath to maintain a 1/3 water level at best. Bed was lumpy and uncomfortable, and the blinds didn't work, and opening the windows was a struggle and painful. Would love to come back here but not to this room. Dog friendly, though, which is GREAT. Hope they correct these issues, as would really like to return because of the location, food, and service.

What a great visit we had. First time there but we will be back. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Food great too. Lovely roaring fire on the Sunday am.

The weather was wild but the comfort and feeling of well being engendered by the Ship's environment and the staff meant our stay there was just wonderful. We will be back.

Brilliant room right on the seafront. Small personal inn with friendly staff. Modern clean and up to date facilities. Delicious food in the bar and small restaurant! Shame it was only a one night stop!

Visited the restaurant many times but the stay was well worth it. Great room , clean , fresh and everything you need. All finished to a high end. Lovely breakfast watching the waves roll in. Cosy bar down stairs with roaring fire .

excellent in nearly every way. spotless...great service....quirky touches. ONLY downside is poor sound insulation and no AC in rooms. It was way hot in the rooms but it was a super hot weekend. Would not put me off going back. Defo one to check out

The property location is stunning right on the Elie Beach. Staff were excellent and friendly and the food was fabulous. Will definitely return.

First time visitor to Scotland and couldn’t have picked a better place to stay - by the sea and in the charging village of Elie. The inn was so cozy and charming. The owners and staff so very gracious. Loved the room. The bar/ pub was perfect. And special shout-out to Glenn ( manager) for going out of his way to make our stay great. Would definitely stay here again. Tip: do not leave until you try the crabcakes.

Hotel had a wedding party from overseas staying, which meant normal quests came 2nd, room an hour late, kitchen closed early as a result, clearly made it now, and only interested in those and such as those which is a shame

Lovely situated small hotel with restaurant - the food was very good.The staff were very friendly and working hard. Food was very good, we had paella. Would suggest you try for a room with a sea view as the location is beautiful.

Absolutely brilliant , food stunning landlord took time to meet and greet staff were all fantastic , had my Boss over from the Netherlands he could not believe the high standard achieved. Am now planning to take some colleagues back for a weekend next year for a golf break in the area

Tranquil with fantastic views
Upon arriving I was unsure as to whether or not to stay as it seemed remote and in a deserted area. Once inside, I found it to be perfectly charming. The staff was gracious and welcoming and the room was thoughtfully decorated and clean. We ate dinner in the restaurant watching the sun set and felt like we were ship board. The total experience at The Ship Inn was perfect.

Chambre spacieuse et très confortable, face à la mer dans un hôtel accueillant. Prenez un verre au bar, installez-vous en terrasse pour admirer le coucher de soleil puis régalez vous de bons poissons... Quelle belle soirée. Après une promenade matinale, nous avons apprécié le petit déjeuner. Je recommande +++

A great little pub Hotel with excellent facilities in the rooms. I liked the Bose sound dock so much, I have just upgraded my old one to one the same. I can also highly recommend the food too. Both Dinner and Breakfast were top drawer. As Arnie says: "I'll be back!"
