Great stay
The place was perfect for what we needed. Everything was clean and the beds and rooms were very comfortable. Within walking distance to the Marina Landing, a nearby restaurant with great food & drinks and an awesome patio The nearest boat ramp is about 20 minutes with the low water level but wasnt a big deal to us. Great outdoor covered patio and outdoor grill. Perfect for anyone here boating or fishing.

Perfect for a small family
The accommodations were nice. Perfect for a beach place. I wish there was a washer and dryer, but otherwise it was a good fit for us. A nice patio and kitchen and a good size bathroom.

Solid rental
We enjoyed our stay. The rental was very clean and bright. This trailer home was small, but did the trick for our group of 6. The outdoor patio was great. The bedroom with the queen bed was the perfect size. The other two bedrooms with the full size beds were quite small, one with hardly any room to move in. The kitchen worked well, but the nonstick pots were quite scratched. It was slightly annoying to not have a dishwasher and have to handwash. The neighborhood was good for people-watching, with many celebrating the 4th of July. It's a mix of boat garages, homes, and trailer homes. It was safe. We enjoyed walking to the Marina Landing restaurant down the way. Of note, the lake does not come down this way again near this rental until 2025 (due to dam maintenance), so we drove to the nearby campground entrance, maybe 8 min down the road.

Just right

Where’s the lake?
We loved our little get away and this home suited our needs! Lake McConaughy is VERY low and the closest boat ramp was at the damn about 20 minutes away! We’d stay here again.

Quaint house with great outdoor patio
The living room was a little tight as well as the rooms and hallway. The outlets didn't work in one room. The A/C worked great though and was needed along with the patio. Pretty good location at one end of the lake. No dishwasher or garbage disposal. Good for a single family vacation.

Perfect weekend getaway
We had a wonderful time at this small "cabin". It is a 3 bedroom single wide trailer, but the owners have done a great job of decorating it in light colors, which made it appear bigger than it otherwise would have. 2 of the 3 bedrooms have full-size beds, which are very small for two people, so keep that in mind. The covered patio area was perfect for evening meals and gathering with friends. There was plenty of room for 2 vehicles and 2 boats. The little community where this is located has an amazing bar/grill, which is also a marina, but this time of year the water was too low for them to have any boat traffic. We enjoyed watching both NU volleyball and football at the bar. The fees for VRBO are quite high, but since we had 2 couples we were able to split that cost. We will definitely be back!

Perfect home base for Lake Mac recreation
Very cozy and comfy. Located within reach of the low water dock, which was important at this time of year. Loved all of the upgrades in the living space and proximity to the local restaurant. Being able to park our pontoon in front was awesome. We also enjoyed the space for entertaining guests outside. The grill was well kept with enough propane to make several meals. One of my pet peeves is a rental with a grill that is inoperable - we were all happy we could BBQ with well maintained quality equipment +1! The only gentle feedback we'd give is that the cookware and dishes, once inspected, had to be cleaned before use; assuming the previous folks paid the cleaning fee like we did, that shouldn't be required. That aside, the owners were very responsive to any questions or communications. Overall, great spot!

Meg and Greg have an amazing lake living property and they went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Including Greg towing my truck off the beach first evening when my 4wd wouldn’t engage. First time at Big Mac and planning on making a stay at Meg amd Greg’s an annual event!

Simple great place near beach great for family
We enjoyed our stay, it was convenient to beach and marina, perfect for the 8 of us, it was clean and a cute place. hosts were very good about communicating with us about check in and check out and responding to any questions. If we needed anything they were great about bringing to us which we appreciated. I gave a few suggestions and they were great to respond to our needs. There was plenty of parking. We wanted to stay near family and it was perfect for us. The air conditioner worked well, it doesn't have a dishwasher or washer/dryer but WIFI worked great! I actually worked from there in the mornings and had great connectivity. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely keep in mind for next summer and refer other family members to this home. The outside also had a nice table and chairs under a covered deck and a fun tiki bar. The host also rents kayaks if you need them. There is only one shower so that can be challenging with teens especially all the girls. I would suggest to add some type of mirror to each bedroom. Very nice experience

The property was located near the lake with a great beach area. The hot water on the property was lacking. The water did not get hot enough to wash dishes or to shower comfortably.

Nice place for the price
This was a good place for the price. The location was great just around the corner from the beach and Marina Landing restaraunt. A few cons...one was that there's a small porch going into the front door and there is no railing. It's at least two and half feet high and our three year old forgot one night and walked right off the edge landing right on a concrete patio. Hes super lucky he didn't break anything. Also, the bedrooms are incredibly small really just big enough for a full size bed. However, they make up for the small living space with a great, very large patio with grill, dining furniture and a tiki bar. One more con, the water never got hotter than luke warm so everyone was racing each other to take a shower first lol. Over all we had a great stay and spent most of our time at the lake.

We have never vacationed at Lake Mac before and discovered it was a great meeting point for my family (Ainsworth) and my boyfriend's family (Denver). We came from Omaha. It was last minute and this was the only property available that would accommodate our group. Even with the rainy weather, which eventually cleared up, the large covered patio was perfect and we didn't feel cramped by having to stay in the house. Of course, the downfall is only one bathroom.....but take short showers and be respectful and it does work out. Greg and Megan were extremely responsive when we ran into a few small fixable issues. We definitely recommend as long as you are with companions that are easy going and not too high maintenance (which you shouldn't be when you're at the lake!). Quick walk to the lake or a quick drive to go into the state park!

Annual Trip to Lake Mac
We typically camp on the Beach, but this year we had a new grandbaby so half of us stayed here and the other half camped. This is a great space with 3 bedrooms and glorious AC for a reprieve from the summer heat. The big patio gave us plenty of room to host our campers for dinner. The proximity to the beach allowed us to go back and forth with ease. Wifi, AC worked great. Unit was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Owners were responsive and a pleasure to work with. Great place, we will stay again.

Fun Family Vacation
This was a nicely updated property in a quiet location not far from the beach and a short drive to great swim spots. We enjoyed our stay and our only issues were the toilet was touchy as sometimes it flushed and sometimes it had issues with backing up. Also loved the patio with table and grill but the deck needs a safety railing which was tricky keeping an 18month old from toppling off. It would also be nice to have locks on the bathroom and bedroom doors for privacy but otherwise we had a lovely stay and a Fun Family Vacation. Thanks for the lovely accommodations.

Great cozy cabin by the lake
The house is well equipped and cared for. The kitchen was clean and well supplied and the gas grill worked nicely. It was easy to find the cabin with instructions the owners sent us. The cell phone reception is not great at the house, but it's strong just down the road if you need it. The owners were super gracious about a last minute change in timing. Many thanks!

Great Getaway
Wonderful long weekend getaway. The property was very clean. I reached out to the owner the day before and was able to get instructions to easily access the home. It has a gorgeous porch and the air conditioning was a great treat after years of camping. The place could use a little more storage in terms of dressers and we thought the price seemed a little high, but with the price of comparable properties in July and the proximity to Cedar Vue it worked great for our needs. We would definitely recommend this property and would stay again. It’s beautifully and recently remodeled and with maybe a dresser or two and a few maps of the area it would be perfect. Thanks for letting us stay at this property!

We love Lake Mac
We had a great time at the lake. The house was clean and comfortable. Perfect get away for our family. It was nice to shower and relax after a day of boating. The covered porch was perfect to sit under for coffee in the morning and dinner at night. The boat ramp was close and there was even a store just down the street to get a few things we forgot. What a wonderful little house to get away to. This property has the most comfortable front porch ever. This place was great for us and our two kids. There are two bedrooms and three beds and additional space to sleep someone out on the couch. The kitchen is stocked up nicely, everything was clean and the owners were very accommodating. Lake McConahay is a wonderful getaway and we will likely buy a place up there after enjoying our visit so much. Thanks for the stay folks! We loved it.

Awesome lake home!
This is the perfect vacation getaway! The hosts are very sweet, welcoming, and responsive. The house is short walking distance to the lake, right by the Marina restaurant, and has all the amenities you need for a beach Vaca. We enjoyed the outdoor patio, grilling food, and lounging in the hammock while listening to music on the Bluetooth speaker. Also, the neighbors were so sweet they made us homemade cinnamon rolls that were delicious! We'll definitely be back next year!!! Thank you for the great home away from home! :)

Newly remodeled home at Lake Mac. Quiet area of the lake but very pleasant. Train tracks are nearby with train horn but you get used to it (I'm sure you would get this anywhere on the north side of the lake).
