There were sea lions roaming under the pilings the hotel is build on, and in the water next to the hotel. “The room was great. The bed was extremely comfortable. The vanity was nice and big. The HVAC unit was very quiet, which was lovely. Shower was great, good and hot, with nice waterflow. My only suggestion for improvement was that there were no towel bars or hooks to hang anything in either the shower room or the bathroom vanity, except for the towel bar over the toilet and the shower rod. There was nothing by the sink, which meant the towels had to rest on the vanity, but it's a minor issue....

When you enter the building, you are surrounded by warm rich woods, stained glass, and Edison bulbs that cast a low amber light. The Historic Queen room I stayed in was delightfully minimal, but with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The room opens up to a private balcony with a little bistro table. I recommend sleeping with the window open to feel the beach air and listen to the ocean.”
