“You don't stay in Arenal for the area around the B&Bs. You go to Arenal because it's funky and quiet and friendly . We return to Casa Donna Rosa for the welcoming owners and most of all for the fantastic breakfast preparations. I have only been gone one day and I miss their breakfasts already. Home baked Challah in think hunks with baked crisp finish the their french toast...yumm even before you try adding the smear of preserves. Great Costa Rican coffee is served with pots of wam milk. ”

This property is nestled up against the central wetlands of Nicoya peninsula on the shore of the Tempisque river and is a definitive location for birdwatchers from all over. My wife and I are not birdwatchers but booked this based on its remote location and its high marks from other reviews.
