Ocean Creek Haus: Nature abounds w/ ocean views + babbling creek

Welcome to Ocean Creek Haus! Our mid-century modern designed home is recently renovated and situated on a hill two blocks from the ocean, providing peaceful and picturesque ocean views. Relax on the deck listening to our babbling creek with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. Cozy up next to panoramic windows in the living room and watch the endless ocean waves. Or enjoy the sand between your toes as you relax on the beach!

Relax on our wraparound front deck with seating that faces the ocean to watch a beautiful sunset over the water. Enjoy sounds of the babbling creek that runs alongside of the house. Inside, the spacious living room has high ceilings and a comfy leather sofa with plenty of seating to provide the same amazing views of endless ocean waves through large panoramic windows. After dark, enjoy a movie on the large screen smart TV with our high-speed internet or pick out a board game for some competitive fun.

Head to bed in our main bedroom with a King-sized mattress and a smart TV. A second large bedroom has a Queen-sized comfy bed and a smart TV. A full bath with tub/shower is directly adjacent to these rooms, equipped with all your needs including shampoo, soap, fluffy linens, and hairdryer. Downstairs we have a private ensuite bedroom with both Full-sized and Twin-sized beds, smart TV, and attached full bathroom with shower.

In the morning, grab a mug and enjoy a relaxing cup of coffee from our coffee station and help yourself to a kitchen fully stocked with cookware, bakeware, microwave, air fryer, and toaster oven for meal prep. A large dining table seats your hungry group.

A babbling creek runs along the side of the home providing a relaxing backdrop of sounds to enjoy while sitting on the deck and enjoying a morning cup of coffee. The 25-ft covered deck wraps around the front and side of the house with plenty of seating. A grove of alders surrounds the back and provides quiet close-in privacy.

The view was very beautiful and being surrounded by nature was wonderful. Unfortunately, little factors played a role in the stay being just good instead great. Overall this was a clean and good stay. Amenities could be improved upon but the easy access to the beach was nice.

Perfect combo

With the windows open you can hear the ocean but smell the forest, the perfect combination! The beds were good quality. Our only concern was the stove had one burner that only cooked on high which made cooking dinner difficult and a little scary

A nice getaway house on the beach

Abstaining from traveling for the past 4 years, I was delighted to bring my family to a vacation on the west coast. And by coast I mean literally the very edge of the continent. Luckily for us, spending a weekend in the Lincoln City, OR as well as up and down the coast made easy by Larry & Christine offering to rent their lovely house located very close to the beach. The big house has more than enough space to accommodate our party of 5 adults and one toddler, the necessities of life were all prepared for our use and though there was no AC, the location itself easily allows AC to be missing: the summer afternoon sunshine could be countered by open windows, letting the cold wind cool the house down, whilst the nights were actually mandating us to use the heater. Kitchen included a refrigerator, a coffee maker, a tea kettle and a variety of plates, bowls, mugs and utensils, bathrooms were sufficiently stocked up with towels, beds had fresh linens. Even the 2-year old couldn't complain much about lack of anything; she was particularly thrilled to find a cute little folding chair up on the balcony. Prior to our trip I reached to our hosts with a question about baby cot and received a prompt and positive answer. Sure enough, the cot was there waiting for the baby. The surrounding was on-par with the house: the dusk would bring about some wildlife: our first evening as brighten by an unexpected visit of five deer grazing bushes next to the house! Overall our experience was great!

Beyond amazing

This house was perfect for our mothers day get away. With 6 adults and one child we had plenty of room to relax and hang out. The views were amazing morning and night especially on the patio. The crick beside the house was another great bonus as well with the trees and privacy. We will definitely come back here again.

What a wonderful vacation home!

The house was perfect, the views are better than advertised, and a great beach perfect for agate and shell hunting is just a short walk away. It was really cool to sit on the deck in the evening and watch all of the local wildlife… lots of deer, raccoons, and a few others that we heard but didn’t see. The house was clean, beds and bedding very comfortable, we just loved it! Large enough for my hubby and I and our 2 kids, as well as a surprise birthday visit from my oldest daughter and her fiancé. Spacious, well stocked, clean, we will definitely stay again! Thank you Larry and Christine for your home and your great communication 😊❤️

Fabulous views

We've been renting VRBOs for 10 years now. Have seen it all. This is one of the best stocked with everything you need. All you have to do is unpack your stuff and enjoy the stay. And the Windows (most host don't do) were sparkling clean so we were able to enjoy the wonderful ocean veiws.

Lovely property, STEEP driveway

We own a house in this neighborhood and absolutely love the area! We had additional family join us for the weekend for my Dad's memorial service and wanted something where they could stay close by as we had too many people for our house. We were so lucky to find this; it was perfect. The only drawback is that the driveway is REALLY steep. Unfortunately, I wasn't aware until I helped drive people back to the Portland airport as no one ever said anything. I'm not sure if they could have parked in the garage, and they hadn't tried. I wish they would have as that would have been much easier (one of our guests had a cane). Additionally, this property could benefit from some stairs and a handrail in the front yard to help able bodied people get from the road to the front door. All in all, it is exactly as pictured and was a very comfortable stay.
