A great apartment overall and the large terrace is fantastic (although the outdoor furniture is in need of updating or repainting). Air-conditioning in the bedrooms was out of order during my stay and the portable unit that substituted was too loud to sleep with on and required an open window for ventilation. Had the weather been hotter, this would have been annoying but as it was it was ok. The only other problem that I encountered was that the person who welcomed me didn't explain that the main entrance door on street level has a keypad and a code to open it (the key provided does not work). So I was stuck outside on the street, phoning the contact number for the owners/company without answer. In the end another resident of the building came by, let me in and explained the keypad - I'm not sure what I would have done if they hadn't come along because no one was answering the phone. That incident aside, it is a very good apartment - lots of space, a large kitchen, and good facilities (wifi worked perfectly throughout). The location is another plus. It is in a very good area of town, one that is not overly touristy but an easy journey via the subway, which is a very straightforward system to use, into the old town. Saldanha metro station is only a short walk from the apartment, which is the line that takes you directly to the airport.
