Our stay at VD was absolutely amazing ✨✨ the moment I entered the property I knew it deserves a great review but the cleanliness and customer service compelled me even further to make sure I give the credit where due. I am so happy that we picked this spot for our stay it’s absolutely dreamy in person as well😍

Ideally located. The hotel concept and overall vibe is welcoming and makes you immediately feel at home. Staff is friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend.

Villa Dorothéa magically updated this once fisherman village into a quaint, neat and yet calm environment. Truly a piece of paradise in Lisbon. Our room was new and clean, the bed was very comfortable. The staff were pleasant and helpful with prompt responses. Highly recommend !

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel in Lissabon. Besonders gut gefallen hat uns die tolle Lage – viele Restaurants und schöne Ecken waren gut erreichbar. Das Hotel war außerdem sehr sauber und die Terrasse hat uns besonders gut gefallen. Das Personal war durchweg sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und hilfsbereit. Insgesamt haben wir uns sehr wohlgefühlt und würden das Hotel jederzeit weiterempfehlen!

Tolle neue Unterkunft in guter Lage. Kleines Bad aber ausreichend. Nettes Personal. Wir hatten kein Frühstück und haben nur einmal einen Cocktail in der Bar getrunken. Hier war unsere Erfahrung eher negativ da wir zunächst nicht bedient wurden und dann 40min auf unsere Bestellung warten mussten.

Wonderful place to stay surprised at the separate costs for breakfast which were very high considering what was offered. Every little extra item was greeted with an extra cost.

We were greeted and checked in by Tomas, very warm reception, made us feel very welcome. The next day we were assisted by Marie also very welcoming and helpful during our stay. Special thanks to them! The rest of the staff was also very friendly. I would definitely recommend this place; it is very beautiful and quiet.

Ein kleines Paradies mitten in Lissabon Das Villa Dorothea ist ein wirklich wunderschönes Boutique-Hotel mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Schon bei der Ankunft wurden wir herzlich und persönlich empfangen und mit einem Willkommensgetränk begrüßt – ein schöner erster Eindruck, der sich während des gesamten Aufenthalts bestätigt hat. Das Hotel ist wie ein kleines Dorf angelegt, sodass man sich hier wie in einer kleinen Oase mitten in der Stadt fühlt – ruhig und gemütlich, obwohl man zentral in Lissabon ist. Auch die Betten haben uns absolut überzeugt: Wir haben himmlisch geschlafen. Ein rundum gelungener Aufenthalt – klare Empfehlung für alle, die ein persönliches und charmantes Hotel abseits der großen Ketten suchen!

Beautiful small and friendly boutique hotel which is ideally located albeit at the top of a very steep hill. I wouldn't recommend for anyone with mobility issues unless you plan to drive or taxi everywhere! Lovely clean and fresh room with coffee maker and plenty complimentary pods. Breakfast is not included and at 25euro you may want to try one of the many local cafes instead. There's also a restaurant which I didn't personally try but got rave reviews from my fellow guests. Theres a cute bar which is pricey compared to local bars (glass white wine 16 euros) which compares to upper end Edinburgh hotels but lovely setting with roof terrace offering city views. I really enjoyed my stay, would definitely recommend.

Wow, where to begin about Villa Dorothea. The property is absolutely stunning and the photos do not give it justice! Check in was smooth and our room was available early which was amazing. The welcome drinks and little check in waiting area is a great touch. The staff were incredible friendly and helped carry our luggage up to our room without asking. The suite we booked was stunning, with a separate living room, bedroom and a bonus dressing room with a view of the ocean. The room was very clean and new, the hotel provided 2 bottles of water per day and turn down service. They also had a running routes map in the room for any runners which I thought was so great (as we are runners). Would definitely come back here and recommend to other travelers. Don’t miss out on this gem.

Very nice villa courtyard experience. Friendly and helpful staff. In the Lapa residential area so doesn’t look like a hotel from the outside. Should warn that walking to and from is a bit of a steep hike. You will definitely get your steps in. Alternatively get a Bolt. Rooms have decent wifi and air conditioning if opening windows isn’t enough. Quality breakfast which I believe is included if booking directly from their site. Yoga studio right across the street.

This was a great hotel for a one-night stay on our honeymoon. The rooms are very well kept, with new, working appliances, lots of places to plug in your electronics, very comfortable bed and sheets, quiet overnight. Friendly staff. We have only rated this as four stars for two reasons: the on-site food is too out-of-proportion expensive for the value (e.g. about 6.50 Euros for a lemonade which tasted like an average Italian soda, and only one breakfast option of 25 Euros). Overall, the cost of the one night did not quite seem to match with the value (e.g. no amenities like pool, gym, jacuzzi, sauna).

It is quiet. Hidden in a very nice neighborhood. The bed crispy. Everything looks stylish in a calm way. The bathroom very small with not much space for products but there is a seperate dressing room with a make-up table/desk. The lounge area with balcony is very comfortable with a marble sink. Handwritten welcome card. There is a roofterrace overlooking the Tejo river. The staff are very kind and helpfull and positive. The lady who cleans the room is an angel. In other words: shhh, its a secret.

I arrived very early on a red eye and they were waiting for me,my room was ready including with a comp bottle of wine, and welcome cake! Clean clean clean. The room was bigger IRL than I expected! Not one but 2 mini AC units to make sure I stayed cool. The manager gave me his number so I could whatsapp for any request. I added a night, and i just had to send a whatsapp! Just the most adorable place. I would love to keep it a secret, but it's too great.

This is an absolutely lovely hotel in the middle of a vibrant beautiful neighborhood. Fantastic staff and highly recommend The Secret for an evening meal. The property is very quiet but you are in the heart of where people live work and play so a small bit of street noise is to be expected. Also recommend local restaurants Goose and Faber. Very walkable, close to the public transit system. And yes, Lisboa is beautiful and hilly!
