Downsides were; I couldn't park in front of my room, they didn't turn the heat on untill I arrived and in the middle of winter the room was freezing, and very draughty due to the open slat bathroom windows (it was frigid in the morning). The shower had shaving stubble on the wall, so cleanliness could've been better, and there was no bathmat provided for the freezing cold floor. “Beautiful historic old fashioned Australian Hotel, very reasonable and ideal room with en-suite for sharing with my son for a hiking trip to the Blue Mountains. Great wholesome food in the restaurant and plenty of options nearby for food.”

“It was good. Just couldve done with a clean around the building with discarded items potentally attracting vermin etc. Room was good, no real complaints.”

“Matchbox size room, no shire curtains only block out which made the room very dark, tea and coffee bad quality, requested better room even if l had to pay but reception ignored my request, pay a lot of money for a third class accommodation, never again will stay there.”

“Good value for money. Whilst close to the Great Western Highway and train line didn’t really notice it. Walkable distance into Blackheath shops. Very comfortable bed. You won’t speak to any staff at all, self service and checkout through lock box.There is some basic self service breakfast if you want to eat in with cereal, juice and bread.
