L’albergo è situato in un palazzo di pregio, abbiamo trovato una suite grande come un appartamento, letto matrimoniale king size molto comodo, bagno grande con vasca molto ampia (ma non c’era la doccia), seconda camera da letto, salone con cucina completa, vista sul castello. Qualche problema col riscaldamento, perché la suite è su due piani, e mentre al piano terra era quasi freschino, al piano superiore faceva molto caldo. Pulizia sotto il letto eseguita male, mentre il resto degli ambienti era pulito molto bene. Comunque se dovessi tornare in città, sceglierei nuovamente questa struttura.

L’hotel è in un palazzo del 700 ristrutturato. Molto bello ma non efficientissimo. La struttura è in pieno centro ed in area pedonale. Per entrare in macchina per scaricare i bagagli bisogna contattare l’hotel. Parcheggio difficile da trovare e carissimo.

Ottima struttura personale disponibile e cortese molto professionale manca l’aria condizionata ma hanno messo un ventilatore. Al centro da dove a piedi si va ovunque. Bellissima esperienza

Abbiamo scelto questo hotel anche per la possibilità della zona spa e palestra ma ci è stato detto che quelle aree erano in manutenzione cosa che il sito tralasciava

Disappointed with mouldy bathroom and servicing.
This hotel was disappointing. We selected it on a Lonely Planet recommendation, its location & awards for design. Unfortunately fell below expectation. Much effort & money had gone into the interior design & reception areas were lovely. We had a suite & the bedroom was comfortable, lovely light fitting. There was an attached sitting room which felt austere, although the ceiling was beautiful. The bathroom fell well short of acceptable standards. Although money had been spent on fancy corner bath and brass fittings the heavy presence of mould in the shower and dirty toilet bowl rim made this room unpleasant to use. The sink taps dripped constantly. The shower door did not meet the shower panel and so the shower leaked onto the floor. In this 4* hotel there was no hand soap or even tea bags. We asked for some to be provided the next morning. We were surprised to return to our room later in the day to find that hand soap had been provided & was placed directly adjacent to a pile of soaking wet towels & a bathmat we had used to mop the flooded floor with. Our room was not serviced at all. We queried at reception & was advised that due to Covid restrictions no room servicing was occurring unless by special request. Very strange to reduce hygiene for Covid! We did not experience poor hygiene elsewhere in Slovenia in lower * cheaper hotels. I think the hotel owners have prioritised fancy frills over basic cleanliness & comfort. Positives - location & lovely reception staff.

Bon rapport qualité prix, nous avons eu la chambre en Rez de chaussée qui était grande et rénovée mais sombre, et équipée d’un sanibroyeur . Il y avait des travaux le matin vers 9h mais le bruit commençait plus tôt! Le personnel a été sympa et à l’écoute de ces sujets.

Overall, the property was really lovely. The staff was incredibly helpful and went out of their way to ensure that we were enjoying our stay. The room was fantastic and bigger than some apartments I've lived in. The area is central and about a block from the river front.

Great stay in an enormous suite, with great staff. Room is dated and need modernisation but otherwise comfortable and clean. Better than staying in a business hotel. Quiet at night though there was a huge noisy event by the bridge which was done by 11pm

The hotel building is a lovely old place with a beautiful courtyard but that's where the positive stuff ends. As a hotel it's simply not up to scratch. From the moment we arrived to no reception staff to the hot stuffy room with no air conditioning (despite what it says on the hotel's website) and windows screwed shut, no shower - just a hand held attachment to the bath tap it is just not good. Whereas most hotels have responded to Covid by enhancing cleaning this one has responded by stopping it, we ran out of coffee for the room and a request for more was initially ignored but then it transpired they had run out. In the three days we were there we never saw anyone who looked vaguely like management, it seems like the place is being run by kids and ut shows. Overall a very disappointing experience for a hotel charging these rates, I've stayed in better hostels for a fraction of the price. It's impossible to recommend this hotel, there are far better options available.

OK cental hotel
The hotel is centrally located in a quiet street very close to sights, bars, restaurants, etc. Even though the hotel is situated in an old palace (allegedly formerly owned by the Italian royal family), you are unfortunately NOT in for a royal treatment! The hotel is a confusing maze of corridors, stairs, levels, etc. Our suite was very spacious and bright, and was partially furnished with antique cupboard, tables, etc. but they didn't manage to keep this style all the way through, beds are really comfortable. The staff is very helpful, but it is a bit difficult to find out, when the reception is manned, and when it is not, but as you let yourself in with the room key, it normally causes no difficulties. Breakfast is VERY basic (probably because the hotel is small = 20 rooms). We visited the hotel after all covid restrictions were suspended: But still the rooms would not be cleaned (allegedly "due to Covid"), unless you specifically requested it - what a weird scheme/explanation! WARNING: The hotel shares courtyard with a music conservatory (in several floors), so for 10 hours a day you are "entertained" unfortunately NOT with music but with endless, annoying and nerve wrecking scales, instrument tuning, etc. so if you are not 100% sure to have a room facing the street: Stay away from this hotel – it is torture!

The hotel is in need of some repairs. It is an old building with minor annoyances such as toilet that runs and defective bathroom fan. The staff did there best to accommodate however. Room 16 is in the attic and one cannot get into bed without leaning over.

Placing itself as a top end luxury hotel, and many points support that: large room large bed kaviar at breakfast some free slovenian alcoholic drinks but it was not quite perfect: some large tears in the duvet cover no hairdryer (ended up borrowing one from another guest) stains on the chair

Antiq was in a lovely old villa and our two story suite was amazing. We received a nice upgrade. It did have some worn furnishings and no bar or restaurant was open in the evening, but they did have a nice little cart of a couple of liqueurs for guests to try.

Beautiful spacious rooms but no elevator for some rooms. level change between rooms create a lot of potential for stubbed toes. Nice breakfast. Good central location but pedestrian only area prevents cars from reaching front door to drop off suitcases without a complicated procedure.
