“The room was clean and very compact, it lacked appeal but had most of the amenities you would want at this price. There is no interaction with staff at all as self check in, the heating wasn’t on although the radiator in the hall was hot, one curtain hardly covered the window, my room,2, was at the front of the property so people leaving the pub were talking loudly at 11.30/12pm and then again at 1am which woke me up, the shower was good, the wash basin so tiny you couldn’t get the tiny kettle...

“The bed I had was harder than I’m used to so that was a bit of a let down. As for breakfast it was help yourself. Fine for things like cereals, yoghurt, fruit juice and toast, but not for cooked food. That should be cooked to order not put out and kept warm for an hour or two. The eggs were really tough.”

“The room was okay. Though to be fair clean. The beds were a tad uncomfortable. The bed had a ridge at the side so probably needs a new matress. The pillars were cheap. One was too low and two were too high. The breakfast was of a reasonable standard. Though I doubt whether the sausages were Welsh sausages. Probably cheap sausages from wholesale suppliers. “Stayed one night the inn was nice and the staff very friendly. The food was good in the restaurant and a good breakfast. The car park was full when we arrived and my car was damaged overnight with no note left. ”

“Lovely house. Home from home. Double beds were small and it only has one bathroom/but we managed. A few issues in contacting the property people to help us get in, but otherwise it well. ”

“Amazing! Helens' cottage is beautiful. A hidden gem, exceeded our expectations. The rooms are spacious ,clean ,and everything you need is there and all good quality. Don't let the 4ft bed put you off, it's so comfy and you'd be missing out on a fantastic break. It's peaceful, amazing views, walks. Only a short walk to Llangollen, such a pretty town. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend it .Helens' attention to detail is no less than perfect.”
