“A great place to stay. Very quirky and you could tell that the place had a lot of history. Very clean and tidy and beautifully maintained. The only issue we had was the TV did not work well in the room we stayed in (4) as it kept losing the signal and buffering.”

“We booked at The Town House Brecon as we were attending the Hay Festival nearby. The welcome we received was fantastic, the room was lovely with a big comfortable bed and we slept better than we had in ages. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and there was an honesty bar in the cosy lounge area. We would highly recommend this lovely B&B and would happily book to stay again.”

“Molto gentile il padrone del B&B. In camera (molto carina e casalinga) c'erano una TV gigante, un adattatore per le spine degli altri paesi europei (vi assicuro che quasi nessun hotel ce li ha!!), un adattatore per spine usb. Purtroppo, però, il wi-fi non ha mai funzionato in due giorni! Solo due velux in camera per arieggiare: poco utili perché apribili solo in piccola parte e se piove...entra in parte l'acqua. Colazione buona e abbondante in saletta molto gradevole con splendido acquario....

“A very lovely stay. Our room was very comfortable, nice bed and great shower. The hosts were spectacular. The breakfasts were some of the best breakfasts at a B & B. Hosts also gave us great travel tips for the area, we loved exploring the Elan Valley, Devils Bridge and Aberyswyth.”

“Situated at the end of a quiet lane with breath taking views of the countryside and the Black Mountains beyond, we were met by our wonderful host Sophie who welcomed us to her lovely home. Private entrance to the house, with everything you could possibly need, thoughtfully delivered to provide a very comfortable stay. Breakfast was delicious and the best I have had in some time. Sophie was knowledgable and super helpful, and lovely to get to know. Totally recommend staying.”

“Beds comfortable, dog allowed to stay. Excellent breakfast. However there was a cloying smell in property, even with windows open. ”

“We stayed in 'Edward' and it had 2 single beds pushed together, and that was about all that fitted in the room. It was not a double room, nowhere to open cases, no bedside table. Just not enough room for 2 people.We stayed Tuesday night and they did not serve meals on Tuesdays¡”

“This fantastic B&B looks like a mansion, its interior is beautifully decorated and the rooms have a standard high above most B&Bs. Beds and bedsheet, bathrooms, breakfast – they are all characterized by great taste and the hostess is very sympathetic and service minded. During our travel around in England, Scotland and Wales for three weeks in September 2019 we stayed at 13 different B&Bs and hotels – Plas Y Dderwen was definitely the best B&B of them all.”

“No electricity from 10pm until the following morning .Dogs barking all night as it is adjoining a kennels. Contact no given doesn't get responded to. No breakfast provided due to cover but this wasn't pointed out when booking”
