“What is there not to like when staying in such an iconic building, with excellent facilities, nice staff and an extraordinary view! Beware: the cooked breakfast is heavy stuff and perhaps for 2 to share 😀”

“Staff were friendly and helpful, location handy and beautiful, with red squirrels nearby and nesting house martins. My only suggestion would be that - as we should be reducing meat and dairy consumption for environmental reasons - vegetarian breakfast should be the norm.”

“Julie and I had a great stay at the hotel. Unfortunately we had to take Alfie, Julie’s scruffy wee dog at the last minute. I spoke to someone at the hotel and they kindly moved us to their sister hotel next door that allows wee hairy animals. We certainly would return again. I might even consider inviting Alfie as he enjoyed his stay too 😊. ”

“We enjoyed our stay at The Crossing. The breakfast was very good. The one thing I was surprised about was that our breakfast was not included with our room fee. We stayed at so many different places that I guess I just didn't check to see. But, we were a bit taken aback when after eating breakfast we were asked to settle the bill for it.”

“Hosts were very friendly and attentive, providing a great welcome and suggestions for dinner in the evening, as well as a recommendation of an activity to do the next day after we checked out. Bathroom was private for our room, though not connected to the room itself. The bathroom was very nice. Our room also had a sink in the bedroom itself. Bed was a bit soft - the mattress was not the most comfortable, but overall, no issue. We very much enjoyed our stay, and if we stay in the area again...

Introduced us to their friendly dog and they were able to offer advice on where to eat dinner. Plenty information in the folder in the room of local attractions if anyone wanted. “Da fuori l'albergo è la classica bella e tipica struttura british style ma dentro iniziano le magagne. Ascensore vecchio che il personale sconsiglia di usare (3 valigie da portare al terzo piano non è uno scherzo), tappezzeria sporca e puzzolente, infissi in condizioni disastrose. Dulcis in fundum infiltrazioni di acqua e gocce d'acqua che cadevano sul pavimento del soggiorno (ho avvisato l'impiegato e lui mi ha risposto che era tutto ok !). Quindi sarebbe utile una bella ristrutturazione o...
