“I have rarely used exceptional to review a hotel but the Kames was. We travelled here from New Zealand on holiday and we only had one night but it was exceptional. The restaurant menu is top class, the range on the menu was great and seriously 10/10. I had locally free dived seared scallops from the loch, I had the slow roasted goat shank with lentils - exceptional, and we shared a lemon tart with fresh berries. “Hotel itself is nice and very well located with wonderful view on the Harbour of Tarbert. Room size ok and bed comfortable. What they lacked was not informing that one slide-door of the shower box was broken. Unfortunately I only found out about the problem when I already was in the shower box and managed somehow to close it. “The house itself is lovely, the room was very comfortable, the beds were heavenly, and the breakfast was excellent. The staff were accommodating when we had some delays checking in and out. The shower was the only downside--it was very hard to get the water to turn on and the water pressure was weak.”

“L’albergo è bellissimo, la stanza spaziosa e comoda, il bagno grande e con tutti i confort preciso, perfino gli accappatoi per la doccia. Ristorante molto carino, con ottimi piatti cucinati molto bene. “Lovely hotel with easy parking, great food (try the tart for dessert!), beautiful views in the lounge and restuaraunt, and a delightful pool and spa area. Note that you do need reservations for the outdoor hot tub (we were late arrivals and early departure, and did not check on the process for that). Would happily return and hopefully spend more than one night next time.”

“We stayed only one night therefore my opinion can be partial. The building is old and some parts should probably be renewed (elevator first!) but well kept in general. The room rather small but clean. WiFi is probably underdimensioned as I could not connect despite of the good signal, fortunately personel (all very kind) provided an alternative network.
